Whoever made this quest is a sociopath.
ОтветитьI hated class quests
ОтветитьBro the lvl 20 succubus quest as an alliance player is pretty comparable if not because of distance but because of the amount of ghost runs youre probably having to do since everywhere it sends you to is horde territory, if its a pvp server it will probably take longer than this one tbh.
ОтветитьMost of this video is bs. I mean you can just take FP from Taurajo to OG. From Ash to Taurajo and talk to the npc. You never had to run through Barrens like explained. It's a long chain tho.
ОтветитьWish they kept class quests in general just modify them
ОтветитьThis quest is ridiculous
Ответитьthis quest has been pretty fun on warmane ngl
ОтветитьIf WoW had the FFXIV model where you had one character who could be any class at any time, then I think class quests would have stayed and been expanded on. As it stands though, with WoW almost expecting you to have alts of every class and sometimes multiple of the same class, I think it just became too annoying to reclear class quests like these every time you leveled a shaman just so you can get your water totem
ОтветитьYe just dont play shaman basically, this is stupid.
ОтветитьAh the shaman quests, Call of Fire and jump in the river.
ОтветитьThe mount quest line for warlocks was way worse
Ответитьwell no wonder people were able to explore so much in Classic. You get lost VERY easily
ОтветитьClass quests are one of those things that you remember fondly until you go back and actually do them again. Then more time passes and your stupid ass remembers them fondly again.
It's kinda weird tbh.
Vietnam flashback.
Ответитьfuck no I don't miss this quest, I just had to do it for the first time on a wotlk private server in the year of our lord 2022. I was up all night to get this damn totem. We were in un'goro crater before I finally got around to doing this because I couldn't be fucked when I saw I had to run to hillsbrad, then my soul shattered when I realized it was an 8 part quest. Holy shit am I glad to be done with this, thank god I can finally have mana as a resto shaman.
Ответитьi`m curently doing that shit quest and YT recomended me this video...now my morale is low af
Ответитьor just drop down from the back of the sepulcher
ОтветитьIt's not actually the second but the third.
ОтветитьMan, the air quest was so lackluster compared to this adventure they sent you on. After this water quest really expected something huge for the air totem and it was nowhere near as impressive. Class quests added a lot to the game by adding to the fantasy of your character.
Ответитьjust made me miss vanilla WoW even more.
ОтветитьIn all honesty I miss all class quests and activities, even these tedious ones.
It really helped with immersion, class fantasy and class lore.... if anything they should have expanded on them and not remove them entierly.
I still remember how you had to spend hours as a rogue traveling the world leveling lockpicking and poison proffesions. But then at high levels you could earn money by lockpicking other peoplea boxes and many people didnt invest in it so it was relatively rarw to habe high lvl lock pick. There were these areas out in the world with tons of locked practice lockboxes spawned where you were supposed to lvl up lockpicking.
I felt like a big boy doing this, but I remember I almost gave up finding the secluded water elementals spot.
ОтветитьIt’s not that bad if u don’t stress it i usually just the different parts when I pas by and have it by lvl 40-50 usually, I find it pretty shitty anyways till u have some totem talents
ОтветитьThis was what made WoW fun.
Ответитьpeople arguing that running for hours was fun and immersive, just remember that Outward is a thing and everyone hates it because of how long it takes to get anywhere, you liked these quests because you were young and had a fresh brain + the time to do all this, not because it was any fun
Ответить@hirumaredx Wasn't the water totem already the third totem shamans got? Earth at level 4 and Fire at level 10?
ОтветитьI actually did like this quest, as it made me discover many zones I didn't know before. Quite immersive.
ОтветитьPeople might see this quest as annoying now but before, these kinds of quests that makes you travel a lot are really amazing!
Remember back then, its your first time playing an MMO as good as WoW. The details of the maps, the music etc. Even if you travel through a zone back and forth for 10times, youd still be amazed and how amazing the zones are, not to mention back in those days, everyone is sociable, while doing these quests youll get the chance to talk to different people you meet along the way and such.
It sucks now because everyone just wants to rush to end game and start raiding.
drank one water sapta to see the elementals but islen wont give me one
Ответитьi mean you dont run for the most part you fly except for tarrens mill obviously.
ОтветитьAnd people wonder why I didn't like Classic WoW.
Quests are like "Hi, I'm hidden at one end of the world, sending you all the way to the other end, sometimes not telling you who you need to talk to or see what you really need to do, due to arbitrary writing. Then come back all the way to me so I can say "No, not what I want, now go get another one in another zone. Not telling you where, just telling you you need to go to another end of the world to do something.
Oh, you got my thing! Thanks, have a fake dollar bill. you can trade that in for a few nickels I think."
MegaMan Battle Network for the GBA had a ton of optional quests like this, but the only reason those are tolerable was because they gave you actual, substantial rewards, like keeping what you found or giving you stat-improving stuff. WoW just give you a raincheck on a reward, after you do some chores.
doing it rn
Ответитьi miss the concept of class quests(i mained warlock) but not the tedious nature of having to trek halfway around the world to finish them.
ОтветитьYou have to travel the world to be in touch with the elements my guy
ОтветитьI think the Alliance aquatic form quest is way worse. The shaman one presents no life-threatening hazards, whereas that one has you swimming through fatigue zones
ОтветитьThere is actually a secret path behind the Sepulcher that will let you get to the water totem area, you don't have to follow the coast line from the north.
ОтветитьKinda surprising the earth totem didn't involve running to Eastern Plaguelands and Un'Goro
Ответитьsecond totem you learn is water? pretty sure that's fire. earth-fire-water-air
ОтветитьI appreciated this quest at the time because it sent me through tons of places I hadn't been before and prepared me for where to go next after the Barrens. After I had my water totem I ended up staying in Ashenvale for a while cause I was sick of deserts and the Alliance players I met were actually an appropriate level for me to fight as well cause they were there to quest as well and not just to kill lowbies. If that was the intention behind the quest design then it did its job well.
ОтветитьJust watched this made it alot easier then when I did it in vanilla .. it took me 3 days maybe longer checking thottbot x300 times and kept gettin stuck killing the water elemental I cudnt find him took me days find a way to the coordinates.. kept trying get over the mountain in different ways haha
Ответитьi finished this quest yesterday. god, that was awful
ОтветитьThat quest was a awesome adventure man people these days bitch about everything and forget what this games purpose was..
ОтветитьYou've obviously never made the run from Darnassus to Stormwind as a L1.
ОтветитьStill remember doing this one.
ОтветитьThe quest designer was an alliance player for this quest
ОтветитьUnpopular opinion I know but this quest alone made me quit classic 🤣 I looked it up and said : no way I'm doing this shit 🤦😆😆😆
Ответить2nd totem is the fire one. Call of Fire not call of water. Thats the 3rd
