I had no idea that pride can distorts our heart and vision too, no wonder i dont understand myself or my life at times. thank you for this very helpful insight that hit me hard.

Perhaps this is true concerning the leper, but there is also good reason to understand Jesus's elusiveness as having the purpose of waiting until the proper time. He says a few times to different people to not tell others of things that he has done, this is likely so that popularity could not be stirred up and the attention of the high priests could be avoided. Jesus knew his plan of course, so he wanted to execute it according to his own timing. God bless brother!

Jesus didnt heal for fame he healed because of his love.
Matt.14 [14] And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
he also didnt hide all of the time:
Mark.5 [19] Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

There is probably a lot of truth to this sermon, but I’ve read this message (healing leprosy) and asking them to tell no-one as Jesus honoring the timing of the Lord. Honoring His Father, to reveal Jesus’ identity in the Father’s timing. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Earning your own living so your are not dependent on anybody can be challenging. The more the culture degrades the greater the need to sell out. Catch 22

I haven’t realized how much my pride gets in my way. From things similar to what you mentioned. I get angry when my kids or wife need something from me at times. Like I’m too good for their time and I know that just isn’t the truth. Everything I do is for them, so why do I get frustrated with those small things. That pride also carries over to work. I need to take a step back, spend time with God, and reflect on what is really important.

I have found that I was getting distracted by to my Bible "stuff" journaling, prayer binders, even different religions and bibles. It all became clutter and time consuming! All I need is a bible and a pencil or pen

I got off social media and deleted all their apps from my phone almost a year ago.

It gets rid of so much noise. Life is honestly better. Less aimless scrolling and comparison.

And the time I spent on these apps doesn't even need to be filled with activity, it can just be filled with rest and quiet.

a year ago i was an athiest and i had almost died at the end of last year and it was basically a rebirth for me. when i came to (i was unresponsive for 5 days) i just felt the calling. ive been recovering and searching and reading about all the different religions trying to decide which religion was the one for me. honestly i just a felt a pull towards jesus. the more i learn the more faith i have and i finally completely accepted jesus christ is my lord and savior. thank you for spreading the word!

The reason you got more stressed isnt because your life wasnt simple. It was because you were chasing vane garbage like "followers on tiktok" lol. Come on man. Jesus told him to not tell anyone because He wasnt yet in that stage of his mission. Its a fine message I supoose if this "simple life" idea, whatever it means, works for you. But this is obvious eisegesis and you must be really carefull not to come across sounding like this is somehow being taught in the text. If theres turmoil in your life and you need peace.
