I only get stage 3 crops when they drop the vegetable and seed using 3x3 seasonal seeds (carrot,corn,potato) on spring what am i missing?

Hey Beard. Started a new game and realized, i forgot alot. But one thing i remembered was to fertilize berry bushes, ect. I am Wormwood for the 1st time. And started to realize that he cant do alot. like cant use the hoe. tiller or his own compost wrap.. also cant find the compost bin at all.. Did they change how fertilizer works? Ive brought on several chars. None of us can fertilize berry bushes. And WW only seems to be able to fertilize himself. Cant seem to get any char To use any items of fertilizer at all.. is this a new thing??

I feel like this has confused me more 😆 I’ve grown accustomed to spamming a series of dragonfruit, potatoes, carrots and garlic as that makes it easy to make Dragonpie, creamy potato purée, and Perogi if we want. But I only saw dragonfruit a couple of times.
