It's been a long time since I played a game I enjoyed so much that I couldn't wait to jump back into it. Valheim is a lot of fun, it's also oddly beautiful at times.

Also I find it funny your first time dying was to a Troll; my first time was to a wolf, then my second death was to the same wolf when I went back to get my stuff, then the same wolf again as I tried to get my stuff... again.
I made a base nearby to build my skills and strength so I could get my stuff back and take on the wolf.
The wolf killed me while I was building.
I abandoned that base.

Jesus you are hot garbage in combat.. How is it even possible to struggle against Bonemass with an Iron Mace and a poison resist? He's literally one of the easiest bosses to defeat with a correct equipment THAT YOU HAD.

Seriously, if Valheim wasn't co-op multiplayer, it wouldn't be as popular is it is. Playing this game solo is a truly garbage experience.

Btw you can parry trolls but you need iron buckler or maybe level 3 bronze buckler and parrying is the quickest way to level it up

Against skeletons use blunt force weapons they kill so much faster

I think rolling logs should knock you down and push you off cliffs. Logging oughta be dangerous, otherwise it's just a grind like every other resource gather. No effort was made to make crafting and gathering more than clicking a button, is what that tells me. Strike one.

Also, needs servant NPCs to reduce craft micro. Doesn't seem like anything in late game apart from a boat and shiny clothes, because you're by yourself. You can't ever build a kingdom. Just micro micro micro craft/gather, explore, swing at mobs in pseudo-dark souls. Why not just play dark souls for latter? Strike two.

Enemies are only more difficult because they have millions of hp in spite of your better weapon? Strike three.

Yeah, I'm harsh on this genre, but the very way they sell it is "open world, do anything", and it's BS.

i start valheim a little bit ago and my character is onto the mistlands at day 170 something (i waste too much time doing random stuff and i enjoy it)
