Titan Quest 2 Announced! Sequel to the Best ARPG of all Time!

PS4 version and DLC is on sale, picked it up because Pieces Interactive developed the DLC and they also did the new Alone in the Dark, just wanted to see their earlier work. Playing through the main campaign now and its a fun game. Ive actually never played an ARPG game (didnt PC game as a kid) and im really enjoying TQ. I'm not sure why it's so highly regarded, seems really basic and it's incredibly easy, but it is fun. Has a great vibe and is super comfy to play. THQ Nordic is quickly becoming one of my favorite publishers.

The only thing that worries me is THQ does NOT support their console games well at all. They never even fixed horrid bugs and other things on the TQ console releases and didn't even bother releasing the last xpac for TQ on consoles either. Let's hope they turn this around and support BOTH PC and consoles at same time. And that means consoles not having to wait 6 months more for the same patch PC received...

I think the flow of the game made it great for me. It never felt like a chore as the map design was great, the gameplay was fun and the story is historical fantasy. Also the way it made it feel open world but was linear was genius imo.

At this point, it's probably me the problem here, but when i hear about a sequel or a remake of a great game, i just think to myself "pls, don't fk it up"
Still, there is always hope xd

This game can't beat Project Diablo 2. For a modern 3D game this game has the goofiest ragdolls ever. Not even state of the art 2D Diablo 2 has those goofy ragdolls. Also absolutely no blood, gore or any kind of scenery showing any of it, which is honestly extremely boring for a game of this kind. They could have done so much more with TQ , and i wont praise it only because i played it as a kid. Also the loot hunting of Diablo 2, the loot itself. No game has come close to it so far, its genuinely exciting hunting for items in Diablo

They just have to make the character [ player character ] to be just a little bit taller, the rest is ok. Because i believe the graphic and the art work will be better than the old one.

not even done with the first game didnt touch the dlc yet and now i got another game on my to buy list thanks lol

Titan Quest is definitely one of my favorites. But Grim Dawn is my favorite.

I worked on this for more than 3 years as an environment artist but couldn't tell anybody. Hopefully people will like it ! :)

Titan Quest was my entryway to the world of ARPGs, and till this day, I have almost cult-like devotion towards it, so the sequel is like a gift from heaven to me.
SPOILER ALERT! I think devs noted that the antagonist this time would be goddes of retribution Nemesis, angered by Spartan hubris

Wish the dudes who did grim dawn was doing this but still im excited.

I hope this will be far better then boring diablo 4

i actually i did not know, i just wanted how much is the titan quest and i was surprised that there is a titan quest 2 in development.

Its not even made by the same people. I doubt it will be anything like the first one.

Nearly 2 decade wait, would be one of the most epic disappointments if it fails but I have confidence.

Now if they would just remake a modern sacred arpg

TQ was my Favorite ARPG until Grim Dawn came out and took that title. Super hyped about TQ2 finally becoming a thing. Also If you love TQ check out Grim Dawn, it's based on the same multiclassing system, It's fantastic and also getting another major expansion coming up.

I love TQ, the multi class system is awesome, even though some combos are better than others perhaps, lots of loot, my main gripe is that the maps were always the same, much like Diablo 3 and 4 also do, where i want more like Diablo 1 and 2 etc.
But if they just bring more of the same, i am game.
I love that TQ1 got so much DLC after a huge hiatus, and they're mostly great.
Can't wait.

The OG Titan Quest is one of those games that has been sitting in my Steam library for many years but for some reason I just haven't played it. I think I need to finally knock that one off the backlog of the ancients.

Titan Quest has a special spot in my heart because it's a game that me and my mom played together. She's not a gamer, but because I gamed a lot growing up she took an interest in my hobbies and tried out things like WoW and Titan Quest.

graphics look awesome somehow they kept the feeling of the OG TQ very nice

fk yeah this finally good new arpg is coming Titan quest 1 maybe second to d2 but maybe titan quest 2 will be the d3 we all wanted to get , good luck

I am scared about thhe mythology part hope they get it right about nemesis and her plot also i am scared to listen dodge counter and mount fingers crossed

First, the class balance is simply beautiful. Choices mean something, and you might have to redistribute points to find what works, but every class is viable.

Second, the art direction is amazing. I find that older games stand the test of time better if they have good art direction.

The accents in the voice acting were really bad. I hope they fix that.

Honestly didnt know it was announce and I am more than a fan of this game played it sooo much both on CD's than on steam when Aniversary was given free ... Im getting quite hyped ... Hope they respect the old one and just improved I have played the latest xpack and all but OMG quite the NEWS.

To classify Titan Quest as the best RPG of all time is grossly overstating the facts, it was an entertaining and interesting video game but pretty linear in gameplay, I did enjoy playing it and I will be playing the next one when it comes out, but to say it was the best RPG ever made is flat out wrong.

I'm very exited, TQ is was my first arpg with sooooooo many hours played, i love it, i love the history, i love the class combination posibilities, is awesome game!!! Guys, remember this sentence?? " Before the lights of the gods enter the World..."

I hope the graphics are improved over previous versions. I recently revisited the game and the look was very dated compared to D3 and D4.

It's gonna be difficult to top "Rock of Ages" as closing OST

Apparently it's Nemesis, not Nike , who's stirring up trouble. Can't wait to see what this game has to offer us. Might even go back to Titan Quest for a while in anticipation of this one.

D4 was garbage. Pretty pumped for TQ2.

It's not made by the original devs. It might as well be a mobile game in terms of quality for all you know at this point. In other words, it's just a name that some suits bought and will likely be tricking you into buying. The original devs went on to make the excellent Grim Dawn: Instead of falling for the tricks of some rich people north of richmond again, learn from history.

More likely to be Thanatos than Nike isn't it? I had no idea this was coming out and I am now incredibly hype. Do we know if it is PC and ps5?

Spellforce games are solid. I hope they can make Titan Quest 2 live up to its legacy.

titan quest 1 has got like 3 expansions i didnt know about kinda wierd.

This is awesome news! I still play TQ1 every once and awhile. I last played about 3-4 months ago. I bought the latest expansion but havnt played that part yet... I dont think :)

Let's just hope they go down the BG3 route and not the Diablo monetisation route.
