He looks like he had an extra bounce in his step and an extra spring in his jump this season. If they would've surrounded him with the right type of personnel, like athletic stretch bigs, as well as 3 and D knock down shooters, he could have carried this team to another WCFs.

It’s crazy the 2012 olympics and 2013 season is my fav version of Kobe. He had the one arm sleeve on the right arm going. He had the swagger on the court and his IQ just outing everyone else. He still had a bounce and could slam on folks but mostly at this point used his footwork and shooting to score. A lot like MJ his last couple of years with the Bulls. Sad that towards the end of that season he got injured carrying that poorly made team.

The only thing was really hurting this team was the bench was horrible. Dan Tony was playing

Steve Blake 6’3
Jodie Meeks 6’1 maybe shorter honestly

As the backcourt for the bench playing them together to many minutes and they were way to small of a backcourt killing the defense
Not to mention when Nash came back the back court just was small

All the team injuries aside if the bench was better defensively the team would of been easily Top 3 instead of 8th with the way Kobe was playing

Before Lillard and Curry, Kobe's been shooting deep and from the logo. I remembered the 12 3pts game he had against the Sonics.

INSANE how well he was moving this season. I remember it was a big deal, people were saying he looked like he was aging in reverse. This season is still a mystery to me. He literally came back looking 6 years younger. How?

Can some PLEASE explain because honestly THIS IS MINDBLOWING. I’ve never seen it in nba history, at age 34 Kobe came into this season looking younger than he had since 2008. HOW? How did he move like this? I know you guys remember his 11-12 season and how a lot of us thought he was starting to look slower. But 12-13 he looked much more spry , light on his feet, quick first step. The mind body connection was just top notch.

He was great but he won’t no 23. Look at mikes 34 year old season compared to this. It’s not even close. 96-97 season. Jordan head and shoulders above. Other than handsize another great separator had to be the strength difference. Jordan lived in the weight room and knew when to stop

From 2001 to 2013 up until Kobe tore his achilles IMO he was, in general, THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

Kobe > LeBalco. EASILY.

High IQ people = MJ/Kobe
Low IQ people= LeBalco

Kobe GENTLEMAN SWEPT the 2008 Spurs in 2009 with PRIME DUNCAN while LeBalco got Swept by the same Spurs in 2007. Kobe then GENTLEMAN SWEPT the 2009 Magic 4-1 with PRIME Howard who sent LeBalco home 4-2 in the playoffs, and then Kobe came back from 3-2 to BEAT BOSTON 4-3, the same Boston that sent LeBalco to South Beach.

THREE STRAIGHT YEARS Kobe BEAT teams that sent LeBalco home.
P.S. Kobe LED ALL PLAYERS in the 2001 Playoffs, INCLUDING PEAK SHAQ, in WIN SHARES.
Game 7 2000 WCF, the most important game of Shaq's CAREER, he was choking, and the Lakers were down 20 and Kobe brought them back and OUTSCORED and OUTREBOUNDED PRIME SHAQ in game 7.
2001 Spurs WCF, Kobe was the highest scorer in that series. 2002 Kings WCF Kobe led all players in 4th quarter scoring in a series that went down to the WIRE.

1a.) MJ
1b.) Kobe
everybody else
