Airalo Review - Best travel eSIM? (tested in 4 countries)

I bought three eSims after watching this video. They worked for three days on and off and at low speed, then … nothing! Support was a joke. Entry level troubleshooters who couldn’t even understand the simple logic that if three phones with two different operating systems suddenly fall off a network altogether, this is definitely a network or account issue and not related to phone settings!!! Avoid at all cost! You are spending hundreds of dollars/pounds/euros etc. do yourself a favour and just use normal roaming. Don’t be cheap, you will thank me later.

I’m going to Turkey in October, I have an iPhone, I’m worried about sms verification from the bank or other financial apps. Will it not work if I use airalo? (It it helps I’m in europe, not the US)

Could not get the Airalo eSIM to work in Spain. Waaaaay to complicated. Had to delete.

Can you use it on an unlocked phone with no phone provider?

Hi you mentioned that using Aíralo allowed you to receive sms codes for banking or 2 factor authentication. How does that work if you are using the in country eSim. I though the main sim was not in use ie disabled.

Hello, I'm a little confused here. So with an e-sim activated on my iphone, will I get to keep my current phone number? The way I'm understanding is that the e-Sim gives me a 2nd phone number with Airalo and I can text/call/use data using that 2nd phone number. Is this correct, someone please help. I am traveling to Southeast Asia and I'd love to make use of this e-Sim. Thank you!

Bought the Esim from Sydney airport’s partner to cover New Zealand. Got there, phone couldn’t or wouldn’t connect. I had already downloaded the Airalo app so signed up and in seconds, I was up and running. Airalo Esim definitely saved our trip. Great product.

Does the app and or website have a list of phones and carriers that will tell you if your phone is esim compatible?

Sorry, I'm still a little confused. Is this strictly data only, calling and texting not included? You have data and you were able to facetime home to the usa/canada without wifi but what about calling and texting home? Or calling a local number in the country you are visiting? Also what if someone from home wants to call or text you? Is that possible with Airalo?

Thanks for a great video. You mentioned something about receiving verification notices towards the end of the video. If I need to receive a verification code (from a bank or other app) will I receive it as normal while using Airalo?

So if we use the Airalo, do we need to talk to our Carrier at all about it? or can we just add it and it won't affect anything? I saw that it's $8 for 7 days plan ~ so instead of $10/day with ATT, it would be only $8 for 7 days?

I started using Airalo last year and I think it's perfect for vacations and short business trips. Especially when you consider that here in Canada, we get charged over $10 CDN/day for the "privilege" of roaming and using your data abroad. And switching is very easy - I was able to switch to Airalo (and back) while queued up at Canada/US land crossings (side note: have you done any videos on Global Entry or NEXUS?).

Now, I did lose my signal somewhere in Big Sur, CA, but that might be due to the location.

Regardless, this is now my go-to option for getting data abroad. Planning on using it in France and when I go on a cruise (but not onboard the ship) this winter.
