Because somehow he his super allows him to take him and his opponent to The Raining Sky Temple at a stone bridge in Earthrealm (Mortal Kombat X Universe) from the Injustice Universe (Alternate DC Comics Universe). The MK Dragon is a reference to the logo and possibly Liu Kang and his Animality.

I wish they didn't add Raiden. Fuck that guy, we already had 1 MK character, we don't need 2 for fucks sake! I want John constantine and I wish Black Lightning was the main one not Raiden
