IMPORTANT
#1 apparently I put the rear guard in wrong. figured this out due to some helpful comments. that being said the way the AVS fits is still really weird even when done correctly so whether tec still wins.
plus it still hits on the front window which sucks. ...
#2 just because avs do not fit my car doesn't mean they are like this for ALL CARS this is just my experience.
hope this helped some of you!
The instructions on the AVS distinctly say that the rear portion of the front vent does not go in channel it, sticks outside of the vehicle. Read your instructions honey.
ОтветитьYeah I had the same problem with the windows going up all the way until it broke my window. So I just ended up ripping them off. I will just get the tape on ones not the in channel ones.
ОтветитьThe AVS retaining clip has to be pushed in quite hard. Once you get the clip in all the way it shouldn't affect your window operation. I gotta ask....what's with the window curtains?
ОтветитьWeather tech makes great products but all I hear is that those fly off so many peoples cars/trucks over and over.
ОтветитьWeather tech: Murica
ОтветитьIt is the same for all vehicles the AVS are pieces of shit i have the same problem on my gmc, will be asking for a refund here soon and be buying the weather tech's
ОтветитьI had the same issue with my avs visors on a f150 blocking the window from going up
ОтветитьYou installed the AVS guards incorrectly. Following the instructions is easy, but requires comprehensive skills.
I've used AVS rain guards for the past 19 years on three vehicles with zero problems.
Warring DO NOT BUY THE AVS WIND DEFLECTORS! fitment is a large issue. just spend a little more and get the Weathertech and have a peace of mind no install and fitment issues.
ОтветитьAVS HAS A BOTTOM LIP THAT WILL PREVENT THE VISOR FROM WARPING LIKE MINE DID.
ОтветитьDamn Son CLEAN that interior ‼️
ОтветитьWeathertech came off on the freeway. Oops.. but my miror caught it. If, the fit in the channel isn't tight, the in door/in window channel ventshade will come out. Avs different story. It's 3m tape, might come off or mebbe not. Just be mindful.
ОтветитьWether tech is garbage 🗑
ОтветитьCan t go wrong with either one.The key is the installation and following instructions.Try AVS first.WeatherTech is more expensive, so try the inexpensive one first and if it works.....you saved yourself at least $50.
ОтветитьWeathertech for the win in my opinion, when you remove them or they break you are stuck with the goo from the 3M tape in the channel if you use the AVS. You dont want goo in your crack...
Ответитьliterally same issue as I have a ford fusion and yes exact same problem. front could fit but window wouldnt roll up app the way. back visors were too long and Def didn't fit.
ОтветитьAvs are junk got them on my 2019 ram and already cracked.
ОтветитьI want to be the first to tell u that ur putting on the avs one wrong they go on the out side of the frame u stick them to the paint part of the door do not tuck them in the window will not work stick them around the window on the Fram of the door an they work fine just don't look as clean as the others but work fine thank you 303 out
ОтветитьI removed the logo of AVS on my chevy silverado with nail polish remover..
Ответитьweather tech is trash on quality and style.
ОтветитьI just installed WT deflectors on front and read windows. Just watched a couple of videos and it was done inside of 30 minutes. You have to fuss the deflectors a bit when rolling up the windows. There is a safety feature on most cars where it will prevent fingers from getting jammed when the window rolls up. The window will roll down automatically if it senses interference. So you have to roll up the window a bit at a time and then work the deflector away from the window as it rolls up. Gradually the window will roll to the top position. The WT deflectors look good on my car. Incidentally I didn't get these for rain. I live in Arizona. I bought them so that I can crack the window down a bit when the car is parked in the sun. Nobody will know the window is down a bit, and it helps to keep the inside of the car cooler.
ОтветитьYou don’t have the front ones in right. You don’t put the small piece at the end of the visor, in the window channel where your window is hitting. That little piece of plastic goes between a small piece of weather strip and the frame of the door not the window channel. That way it holds the visor out of the way of the window when you roll it up. I just installed them on my car and works great and doesn’t hit anywhere when done right. All 4 windows roll up great!!!
ОтветитьYour first problem is owning a Ford Fusion, fix that before you do anything else.
Ответить=3 here
ОтветитьDid he just recording videos on his ipad
ОтветитьIm having the same problem Avs window won’t let my window go all the way up
ОтветитьGreat review man! Perfect. Read your updates as well, but the concept of the review is exactly what I was looking for. Gunna look at a few other opinions to gauged what is best for my 4runner, but this was straight to the point with just enough explanation. Thanks bro!
ОтветитьNasty car.
ОтветитьAVS is far superior product! Never had a issue installing window louvres or the hood guard. It’s not rocket science.
ОтветитьAVS did the same thing on my car. It caused my window to go off track. Apparently the AVS window guards are a bit too thick in the track
ОтветитьI bought really expensive WeatherTechs for my Si. Kept reading how easy they were to install on their website. Not the case for me. Broke one trying to bend them into the channels. They replaced it for free but they've been inside a box for 3 months now because I'm not comfortable even attempting to try again. Really disappointed. Maybe I'm missing something but the Inside the channel WeatherTechs are not that easy imo.
ОтветитьThe way to fix the problem with the AVS is that you need to cut the corner of the window, or use a grinder ( use a 240 grit) to reduce the thickness of the glass. For best results wet sanding ( 600 or higher).
ОтветитьThanks 👌
ОтветитьThanks.
ОтветитьYou installed them wrong that's why they didn't fit that little (tab) that sticks out at the end of ventsade it supposed to go in between the rubber and the body of the window not behind the rubber otherwise window will hit it when it's going up it goes for the front and the back 👍👍👍
ОтветитьHave your window motors held up to the extra tension?
ОтветитьGave you your cash BACK! And you still Bash THEM? Why?
ОтветитьYou put in on wrong
ОтветитьI have a 2019 Civic and those AVS are crap. Window wont close. Smh
ОтветитьYou did a bad job installing the avs onesthat's why they don't work
ОтветитьAVS for the win ... just read the instructions people, don't be like Jimmy
ОтветитьI use Heko and it fits lawlessly. It uses tape and clips to secure.
ОтветитьAvs is cheap crap. Just installed the yesterday, took them out today and in the garbage they went. Ordered weather tech . Spend the extra money
ОтветитьI bought the AVS for my Toyota Corolla and they do the same thing. The windows catch on them
ОтветитьAvs is the worst look and material. You can get a better one and cheaper online. They should improve the quality and redesign the style.well visors 100 times better
ОтветитьAvs ftw. Have avs on both of our cars with no issues
ОтветитьGood video..
ОтветитьAre you close to Sunnyvale Trailer park? Nice accent ;)
