Having MASSIVE problems peeling the backing paper off. It just splits the paper rather than peeling from the transfer layer. Any tips on how to peel it more easily? (Printed using a color laser printer)

Hey, I'm printing a picture of my friends favourite character into a T-shirt for her birthday, this is the transfer paper my mother bought me. Is it ok if I just leave it on all the paper or do minimal cutting instead of precisely cutting it? thanks
