I don't think sundown was meant for geogadii however it does indeed have the same or an almost identical melody to corsair kinda like how cold earth resembles roygbiv
Ответитьdid u notice on the cover art it looks like a mushroom cloud above the city. if u mention that later in the video my bad as I'm only half way through the video.
ОтветитьI like your insights- my own take is 2 scots boys getting their minds blown by Saskatchewan flatlands while their father listens to satellites for pictures of the earth. Everything BoC has done fits in completely with my own experience of driving the prairies and is it's perfect soundtrack. Thank You
ОтветитьSad & emotional & an aid to sleep . . BOC = please woke bitches . . climate change ?
Ответитьjust got done watching your 'geoghadi' review, now watching this -- really digging your reviews. BoC, one of my fave bands. thanks for these close analyticals with these records. 'tomorrow's harvest' is a masterful record for/to me.
ОтветитьDude you make me laugh your channel is cool!. I enjoyed your Geogaddi video and now I’m getting into this Tomorrow’s Harvest video essay! Lol. I just listened to the Palidrome playlist of this album, it sounds like a more natural order.
ОтветитьThank you for making this! Such a solid and well-produced analysis. Jacquard Causeway is also my favorite track.
ОтветитьBrilliant. Only a young person could suss this out. Has anyone compiled and posted the revised track list ? Well done man and thanks.

1st time here
Great Video ! More BoC Videos please. They are inctedible, thanks ❤
ОтветитьCollapse is not the same each end.
Ответитьnice plate reverb from that room
ОтветитьThank you for the comprehensive analysis! I'd been meaning to watch this video - should've done so sooner. I discovered BoC through a music teacher almost 15 years ago, and it seems there's still always something new to discover within the fine details and obscure symbolism of their music. 🌀🌀🌀
ОтветитьI am not gonna lie but It's been a while since I sit and watch a very long video like this, incredible work and deep analysis
ОтветитьFun fact. he part with greed talking on green energy, the people that work in industry are also the people pouring millions of dollars tp actually add emissions solving equipment and inventing the cleaning tech to go towards a good healthy middle grounds and safer synthetics that replace the toxic sythetics manufactured/ found before (for the us) 1992 mainly the boom between 1950s-1980s
ОтветитьI think i should buy an akai s700
ОтветитьTrinity was the name for the nuclear test. Gadget was the name of the bomb.
ОтветитьJust dismissing the FEMA camp sample as conspiracy theory and smirking really misses the intent. They wouldnt have put it in the song if it was humorous to them. It represents the dark direction authority and governments around the world are going, especially now in 2024 and post covid. What's next?
Ответитьnice video, from Argentina!
ОтветитьI think that the song "nothing is real" is the most beautiful song...besides the creepy message it's amazing
ОтветитьThe cover could be San Fran with the sun. But it also could be the first flash of an atomic bomb..
ОтветитьFor the 1 second hardware effect. Super jealous lol I would love the ability to do things like that. Just be able to use obscure synths and effects, just brings creative ability you can't get elsewhere unless you find a really good emulator and even then it won't be exact
ОтветитьI don't agree with the interpretation of nothing is real, how come you interpret is at material greed when it's literally talking about eternal life... how do you connect the dots ?
ОтветитьCool breakdown 😎
Ответитьthanks for the spiders trig warning
ОтветитьNaw......... I disagree. It's not about End Times - it's about how it is AFTER the end times LMAO
You want end times, you should listen to ORBITAL's INSIDES, especially the last 2 tracks, OUT THERE SOMEWHERE, that is apocalyptic if there ever was one!!!
Its their best album. Fight me
ОтветитьTo support your theory: When listening to the end of Gemini, on the left channel, there is a vocal - it sounds like someone saying Semena Merthvykh
Ответитьlol at people fearmongering around FEMA hand waiving off prisons with the war on drugs, but most of those same people not seeing the massive, actually-worth-worrying-over facts surrounding the war on drugs.
ОтветитьYou're really doing amazing, and know i even more love BoC, and especially for this album that which is my least favorite from them, i starting to love it more
ОтветитьThe album flows so much better when put in proper order.
Ответитьyour so underrated
ОтветитьWhen I was listen to this album in an empty dry field outside the town 2020 when Covid-19 was on the news this album hit me like never before 💔
ОтветитьLove to listen to you! Would love if you did more reviews and Deep dive into music like this Aphex Twin, Autechre etc..
ОтветитьBet 5k Jaden listens to this guy
ОтветитьInteresting
ОтветитьI’m sure I might find this out when I continue to look at the rest of the videos I have not seen by you but, how’s college for a video game development? What school do you go too?
ОтветитьSick Times/Palace Posy reminds me of Ring Around the Rosie because of the line “Ashes, ashes, we all fall down” which ALSO reminds me of your Ready Lets Go theory
ОтветитьFound your frank ocean video and though "damn this dude is good" then I saw this and was like "oh he's FORREAL" good job dude and great taste in music
Ответитьthanx for existing <3
got chills when u mentioned the correlation between gemini and astronomica ;
gifted to me about a year ago by a very close friend . can't even explain all the
synchronicities that just occurred as i was watching this video ;D
(should've been yesterday tho - tomorrow's harvest on the last gemini day)
Came here after rewatching anthony fantanos dogshit review of this album. Still cant believe dude said this album is so lazy its "offensive" lol. I dont usually like to make this statement because music is subjective, but this album LITERALLY went over his head.
Ответитьits so weird seeing the plague dogs in this lol
ОтветитьThank you for this video!! I do have to respectfully disagree with you though - It is very hard for me to view TH as a warning, thematically. BOC explores the concept of hauntology frequently , or the past coming to haunt us. I think, inevitably, by whatever means, humanity will die out. Our planet too. But that past will always be there. I do not feel that the album is about people and warning them that tomorrows seeds will sew tomorrows (apocolyptic) harvest, moreso observing the fact that the future we once strived for (lets say in the 70s and 80s, since the albums sound is so reminiscent of) never came at all. All of BOCs work explores nostalgia and therefore , loss. Grappling at times with the fact there was no final reward at all for our time on earth, and perhaps the fact since we were never owed it in the first place, there was really never a future, or a lost future at all.
Ответитьthis makes kendrick lamar look like a mumble rapper 🤦
ОтветитьGreat Video, would love to see a breakdown of Aphex twin, Squarepusher and even more BOC.
