Ive never had a benchmade due to the price, wish i had the opportunity to. But i can say i love my spyderco Endura.
ОтветитьManix 2 with ball bearing lock is the midway point between these two I love mine
ОтветитьBenchmade was my first big brand knife I purchased so I'll always have love for them but I do prefer my Spyderco PM3 over any Benchmade I've ever owned. Both make great knives though.
ОтветитьI’m only 19 seconds in and you already lost me after looking up the price for the Osborne 940. In my opinion, an EDC knife should be less expensive than that, in case you lose it or damage it. The Spyderco Endura is better for that reason.
ОтветитьManix 2 or Manix 2 XL with a Flytanium ball cage upgrade will give you the best of both worlds (plus a spring improvement).
ОтветитьI'm waaaay too into knives. I think I have a sickness
ОтветитьI recently lost my second PM2 because of the clip. It’s so true what WS says about removing clip.
ОтветитьI love the osbourne but it’s a little bit slick when your hands are overly dry or wet. I put grip tape on mine and it helps a lot
ОтветитьI doubt you will see or notice this, but after another 4 years, I'd love to see your current thoughts on pocket knives, maybe as a new vid?
ОтветитьPara 3 is a one and done knife. You can make it fancy or keep it stock and use it as a workhorse. If I had to get rid of all my knives except one it would be the para 3.
ОтветитьIt depends on what you need, I own multiple versions of both and I’ll tell you for me for 940 wins every competition I use it for. I break the tips of my spidercos like crazy. I’ve never broken at 940 tip
ОтветитьI carry that spider co very satisfied with it
ОтветитьLost my benchmade Shootout OTF last week in the field due to the knife clip. 😪 thinking of going the Osborne route this time around.
ОтветитьThe omega springs in the benchmade are bound to break. I’ve already replaced them in mine.
ОтветитьKnife update, it's been 4 years
ОтветитьPara 3, not Paramilitary 3....
ОтветитьBench mark lol
ОтветитьWith the Spyderco you can use your middle finger from the backside and flip the blade open
ОтветитьDemco
ОтветитьI love both brands but prefer the Para 2 over the 3.
ОтветитьI always carry inside on my waist! I am about my protection ,if your going come with bad intentions I don't want you to know what to do to counter it . to hell with any of these petty lawmaking government jack asses!
ОтветитьNo spyderflick? Can't close with one hand? I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
ОтветитьBut it ugly I will take the 940 any day. The compression lock is not that easy to use the axis lock is way better and I have 940 and the sage 5 that I think is better than PM3
Ответитьthis may have to be revised now xD
ОтветитьAgree no pocket clip more comfortable to use
ОтветитьYou know nothing Jon Snow!
ОтветитьI have and enjoy both knives. I've never seen that technique or struggle with closing. I use my index finger on the "compression lock" and the blade usually just drops closed with no interference. A simple assist with my thumb ensures closing when the blade doesn't completely shut on its own. Thanks for showing two great knives.
ОтветитьBeloved. Go fixed blade! I have several ESEEs but my go to EDC is an ESEE Izula 2. Fixed blades have no mechanical parts. 1095 steel can easily be field sharpened, and ESEEs warranty is second to none.
ОтветитьIf you think a watch is a watch, then you don't know anything.
If you think a camera is a camera, then you dont know anything.
You people are all the same.
Both EXCELLENT knives. Especially the para 3 in S45vn now
ОтветитьI don't understand just picking one knife model to carry everyday. I have many premium knives and I just carry the one I feel like that mourning. Or if I'm doing a certain activity I will pick a knife that fits that activity. I have Benchmade and Spyderco knives that I love so I would never limit myself to just one brand.
ОтветитьHey Cody! Which knife are you carrying these days? I’m still carrying a 940 from 8 years ago
because of you.
I like the neutral handle on the benchmade better. though the blade isnt as acute... Tuff one
ОтветитьThe Manix 2 is a phenomenon knife.
ОтветитьBuy PM2s and Shamans 😊
ОтветитьDiving and scuba dive knife are stronger 💪
ОтветитьI'm a pm 2 guy myself but I do have a few Benchmades.
ОтветитьThere's no such thing as partially full, in a "partially full life" hahahaahh 🤣😂🤣
ОтветитьYou should try spidie flicking the pm3, with your middle finger. Also use your wrist to jerk or flick it in closed while holding the compression lock (frame lock) button down.
ОтветитьAre you related to Charles Bronson. 😅
ОтветитьSame uses for me. Hardly ever find myself needing it in a one handed situation so that’s why my old timer is fine for me but I do carry a jump knife in my jump pack
ОтветитьMy papaws old timer will always be in my pocket
ОтветитьIm chilling with my Victorinox Cadet Alox as my edc.
ОтветитьI like automatics for the sensory reasons you've listed. I understand the lower level of reliability, but snapping open an automatic gives me the fizz.
ОтветитьThe reason I like a lanyard hole is to put a very small piece of high-vis material (usually a knot of blaze orange or green 550) for when my tools are inevitable dropped in the woods
ОтветитьWrong. Buck 110/112
ОтветитьI love my 940, and I will never not love my 940. But I also have several Spyderco's I love similar, and they do a great job of showing how "old fashioned" the 940 is.
Both knife brands have legendary pedigree's and great warranty's. Use both, don't torture yourself by trying to justify one over the other. You are an adult, you can do what you want! 😅
Imo p3 is a perfect edc in all categories, its very simple to single hand close it, if it don't drop shut put your thumb on show side fore finger on compression lock and flick it shut just like you do the 940.
