Wow that’s a very invasive option. For my pregnancy, i just did the nip test, just blood sample from my vein..

I remembered, doctors told my mom better to abort my youngest sibling because she may have birth defects but our parents decided to keep her no matter what, thank God, my sis is perfect, she’s such a kind and responsible and very reliable sibling and daughter to my parents.. she’s smart too, her grades in the uni is always outstanding:)

Thank you for posting about it. I am going through a very very similar situation and the lack of cases of patau + alobar holoprosencephaly to know about online, leaves us very without references. It's our first pregnancy and unfortunately we are living day by day kind of waiting for the worst but allowing the baby a chance. I watched your other videos, and again, really really appreciate that you were able to share it with the world. <3

Chorionic villi sampling is the CVS for anyone wondering. The other one is an amniocentesis.

thank you sooo much for sharing this. I just my scan yesterday and got similar news, and ive been spiraling in emotions, which is why im looking up people who went through the same thing. I just had my screening today, that’s not an easy one because I have twins, but you are so strong, hugs 🤍

I know this was posted 3 years ago and I haven’t seen what happens yet. And I had my 13 week ultrasound and it showed the same thing on my son except on the back of the neck and it’s called (which you know now) cystic Hygroma. And my son has it on the back of his neck. Some blockage and stuff that causes swelling due to fluid build up in his neck n stuff. But all my tests showed he’s normal nothing is wrong with him in anyway with his genetics and chromosomes. So they hope it goes away by my next ultrasound which is august 23rd I’ll be about 21 weeks. I’m almost 18 weeks now. I’m so scared. Ugh

Sounds too much like what happened to me during my first pregnancy. 😔 Wouldn't wish it on anybody.

I watched your updates on Everly. I'm so sorry you went through this and so happy for your rainbow baby. You are a strong family and the birth video was still beautiful even though it is a heart breaking story 💛💛💛 I had an amniocentesis as my NIPT was high risk so I've been through that part of the process and having to talk about options, etc. It's so difficult. I'm so sorry the diagnosis was confirmed in your case, and I think it's so beautiful that you celebrated your pregnancy and your daughter the way that you did. She was a sweet little thing, I cried when you showed her to the camera because she was so cute and looked so peaceful. I'm so sorry for your loss

If you decide to terminate the pregnancy or keep the baby, either way I hope that you can find peace and know that you’re doing what is best for your family. You are so loved and everything will be okay in the end. Your pain and your emotions matter.

When I was pregnant they told me my daughter had a 1 in 10 chance of downs and 1 in 20 chance of having Edward's syndrome. I too was given the choice to test and termination was an option but I refused both. I'm so glad I did as she didnt have either of them and a healthy 7 year old. I know this is old but I so hope it all worked out ok for you

So true story in 2012 I was an emergency dispatcher for on star and there was a beautiful Spanish lady who worked in our department as one of the bilingual dispatchers and she had the most beautiful two year old daughter that you just I mean this little girl was a doll baby and I will never forget she told her story of how they had been told that they should actually consider abortion because when they did the scans and genetic testing she was told that there were so many things wrong and not only that that if she did continue with having the child, she would probably be in danger herself during labor and that her daughter would have a lesser quality of life. However her and her husband really wanted this child and they did a lot of praying and somehow God saw fit that when the baby was born she’s completely healthy there wasn’t a single thing wrong with her besides some slight hearing damage I believe but other than that she had one of the happiest ““ normal little girls ever so what I will say is this regardless of how it falls it is my strong belief that when someone comes into the world significantly different such as autistic or down syndrome or any other trait that ppl deems abnormal those are actually some of the most purest and blessed souls that take this human journey. So stay strong mama no matter which way it goes one thing you have got to know if that that child is blessed your family is blessed and the battle is not over it hasn’t even for sure begun have faith because God makes no mistakes even if we don’t like or understand the choice.

I know exactly what you went threw. My doc found out until I was 5 month pregnant that my baby girl was anencephaly and my soul left my body that day. It was a torture.

Amniocentesis is where they stick a needle in your belly. Omg I hope your okay and that your baby is fine.

Just DON'T get those tests. Sooo many told their babies have problems that don't exist. Told to abort...
I will not get this test. Baby will be whoever they ment to be.

I'm 12 weeks and my babies NT is 2.6mm is this in normal range or not? I'm really worried and doctor made me feel worse tbh.

My parents were told I would have Down syndrome. They chose to continue with the pregnancy and guess what, I don’t have Down syndrome. Doctors don’t know everything.

I m going through same situation and I am in my 12 weeks 4 days of pregnancy. Doctor has suggested genetic disorder of chromosomes with fluid near head and spine by saying its abnormal. They have advised to abort the baby and to get admit this Monday 😔🥺😩. I am not able to digest wat they have said. I still believe my baby is normal.

Hello beautiful, I am very sorry to hear this, our prayers are with you and your baby. I am also worried at this time because my genetic testing came back with high risk for trisomy result. We decided to just wait for my anatomy scan and don’t want to do the cvs or amnio. Praying for a healthy baby. I feel my baby is healthy as he is very active during the first ultrasound. Keep up the spirit. 💕

Genetic testing is only to tell you the odds. Nothing is certain. This is why I refuse to genetic test. It only brings fear and anxiety. What will be will be

They told me that my son would be born with a hole in his stomach and back and would need surgery when he was born. He was born completely fine and was healthy. Absolutely nothing was wrong with him
