I have a question, do you have to go through US customs on arrival in Miami from North Eleuthera? Just like if I would go through the customs straightly if I am from Latin America countries, things like that?

This reminds me of when AE used to fly the old but nostalgic ATRs back in the day from MIA to a few destinations in the Caribbean as SJU had more ATR destinations to the smaller islands. Fast forward to today, and MIA to Caribbean destinations are being served by smaller RJs!
