The whole bidding on their own auctions to up bud their auctions is a notorious practice for foreign sellers…they like to retract their own bids to stick the last bidder with the items they thought they’d lost to a higher bidder…then they try tacking on “insurance” that’s not through eBay …I’ve ran into this many times so now I don’t even bid on items unless I first look the bud history etc for the seller…and I typically like to bud or buy items from Americans only to help fellow individuals who are trying to make a living and have to abide by the abundant rules for Americans but not for everyone else…

Chris is a nice guy. The only problem was greed and when you move 1 million dollar in shoes on eBay, this sets flags to IRS and they have to follow Federal Guidelines where the burden of proof is on you to provide invoices and prove they were legally obtained. That's simple but sinc3 he couldn't prove you're dommed.

the angela issue is a classic non scam legit shit that every company does, they use your money and then either make mistakes which they pay for later or delay shipment. They use your money because it's always better to do business with other peoples money, think of it as a short term loan with no interest. So, it's not a scam, just not "cool" but we give BIG corps a pass for it.

I’ve been around a long time and I remember one of DRs old eBay stores where there were tons of bad reviews, and people saying they couldn’t reach the seller. So this isn’t new.
I’m not trying to damage anyone, but I don’t want to see people get ripped off either.

There is no question you are one of the goats of reselling. Your system and processes are ironed out with little to no efficiencies. I don’t question your system but I am starting the question the ebay system. You have over 22k items in your store right now. Can imagine the storage fees you are paying for 22k items that are just sitting. But, what is the exit strategy? How do you plan on liquidating those items when ebays system is set up for sellers to always be at a surplus of items listed compared to items sold?? List 10 items and sell maybe 2-3. Of course they want more items on the site and therefore more items then can charge us to list.

The fees are getting egregious also along with the push towards promoted listings. I sell golf clubs and shipping can be sometimes be close to the sale price of a club. ebay takes the promoted listing % out of the total sale price. Say I promote at 8%. It’s more like 16% on some items. Capitalism at its finest.

ebay gross sales were down 6% in 2022. Down 4.3% in 2023. E commerce sales for second hand goods are on the rise but ebay sales are on the decline. Sellers on ebay have decreased since 2018 when there were 22.3 million.

Annual active sellers declined by 8% to 17 million globally. ebay returned $3.1 billion to shareholders. 3 billion in share repurchases and $ 107 million in cash paid dividends. For the full year, ebay repurchased 7 billion in common stock and paid 466 million in cash dividends. ebay is more focused on keeping their stock price high and paying their shareholders rather then providing a good service to the small guy.

Squeeze us for every dollar. Charge us well over the 12.9% fees they say. All for what!? Just to pay these ridiculous sums to shareholders in cash dividends and buy back stock to prop up their stock price. Capitalism and greed at its finest.
