These numbers are way off, and in fact we’re never correct. You don’t count rotting hulks sitting in fields for 30 plus years, much of which had their parts sold off. The war in Ukraine has destroyed a huge percentage of their functional equipment. Based on failures in Ukraine, and proven lack of maintenance, a large portion of their nukes would not even work. It also seems that the US has more deployed nukes, and once they start flying, there won’t be time to pull more out of storage. Also a higher number of theirs are not capable of reaching the US, they’re meant for battlefield use.
