The Truth About "New" Nintendo Switch: 2019 Revision

I have an older switch I got in December 2019 with a beautiful screen and I ended up getting a new switch in 2021 and it came with the ugly yellow tint and it’s such a noticeable difference so I’m gonna return it and get another one and hopefully it’ll be more vibrant. Both Switches are the V2 mode. I really was trying to be happy with it but the colors looks so off to me because of the muddy yellow tint on everything. I really hope I get a better more vibrant screen like the first switch so I don’t end up having to return 2 switches.

Edit: so apparently despite the v2 having variations of it’s screen panel (as example with my first v2 I got in 2019 being cooler and brighter in its screen temp) the warmer yellowish screen is the default version of the v2 model and closer to true colors according to many people.

You had me trippin on that pee-green hehe... I will have to compare to my mothers newer one next time I see her, but I compared it to my LGV60 phone screen, which is just a tad longer, but a hair thinner than the switches display, so almost exact in size.... And my switch looks WHITE, like white white. So id say I have the neutral one? My phone actually had a slight bluish tinge...

I would be unbearably upset if my switch screen came like that

I almost returned mine thanks to this video I know now I’ll still get something similar to what I already have.

I got 2 v2 Switches, one is a AC Edition & for some reason the screen on the AC one is “cooler” compared to the v2 Switch. I bought a 2nd AC Edition Switch to see if it would have a that “cooler” screen but it didn’t. Its easier on my eyes but since its my secondary Switch, I rarely use it since I want to preserve it as much as possible.

The feel difference on the joy cons are strictly from you using one more than the other. If you handle any matte surfaces a lot then it eventually rubs off and becomes more shiny.

Dang you opened those joy cons up! That’s my worst fear... not getting them back together. Working at least.

When you handled the bare boards you hurt me, please dont hold them like that, pinch from thensides, or wear some type of grounding cable, if you have a static charge you can ruin some of the components.

These differences regarding screens are really significant. What Nintendo is doing is a lawsuit material.

The other switch has a more white screen from right corner then goes yellowish going to the left. 😊

I got both types of screen on my 2 NS and both are very nice in different ways..

alot of people dont know the true reason they made the revision. it was to stop modders as they changed so very little but they patched out a glitch so the small changes are mostly to cover up the truth
