Ivan Robert Marko Milat, aka The Backpacker Killer, took out at least seven victims from 1989 to 1993 in New South Wales, Australia. Born into a large family and concerning himself with a neat appearance, he stood out from the fold to fulfil fantasies of dominance and control, differentiating himself from other serial killers by having no gender preference, by killing either one or more at a time, and by continued savagery postmortem.
