Loved it
ОтветитьAwesome!!!! What dedication and skill!
ОтветитьHe's great. It's a shame he's buried in the occult.
ОтветитьLike all fine players, makes it look effortless. Beautiful guitar.
ОтветитьThis is super fun. Very Basho-esque. Love that free form improv element especially when it's as well done and rich as this. Might be time to take a break from thrash riffs on the electric, stop biting my nails, and figure this stuff out!
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful.
ОтветитьI hear a lot of the overtone series here. This sounds made for natural harmonics.
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what tuning he is using here?
ОтветитьLots of Basho and Roses and Snow in it. Tuning is the same. Funny he mentioned the tabla which is also played in Roses and Snow. Loved it. Very nice arrangement Richard.
ОтветитьI can listen to this for hours
ОтветитьHow does such a big sound come from that small-body vintage guitar? It sounds bigger than my Martin D-35. Does anyone know what woods are used for sides, back & top?
ОтветитьI wish acoustic guitars with necks as wide as classical (like here) were more available. My long and meaty fingers HATE thin necks.
ОтветитьWonderful stuff. Is there reverb through the mic?
ОтветитьSo much sound from this guitar, it's immense!
People need to see this man play so they can
better fully encompass the guitars possibilities
What a player, I am in awe!
Ответитьmy fondest discovery of the year---heard him live on the radio
ОтветитьYes, this is beautiful. For some reason I thought I wouldn't like it.
ОтветитьOk for the most part I get it. However because I not only play guitar I also play stringed instruments from India (Sitar, Sarod, Veena, Sarangi), Chinese (Pipa, GuQuin, Erhu), Pakistan (Rabab, Oud) Instruments I have learned a few things. Such as Indian stringed instrumentalists use only two fingers most of the time. The pointer finger going up the neck and the middle finger for coming back down, with an occasional third or ring finger usage but not often. I noticed he went up and down the neck but not in the Indian "Raga" way and he used all four fingers of his left hand almost all the time.
So I think what he has done is to just changes the tuning and then he say's this is Raga style. I honestly do not think so. I play my guitar's like a Sitar sometimes in the method I described above using only the two fingers. It sound more Indian and Raga like to my ears.
I'm not saying his music is bad, not at all I like it because , well yes he reminds me of me a little bit. I have never met another guitar player who played anything near like what he or I play. So I have empathy for him and what he is doing and I hope he continues for many, many more years.
