isdone.dll or unarc.dll Error code - 12

Let me add another important point regarding unarc dll error code 12.
Definitely it is caused by missing Microsoft visual studio library version.
And, it may not be solved just by downloading and installing the all in one packages...
Let me explain why...
1. First of all each of these repacks uses the %temp% directory to download the unarc.dll , isdone.dll and other relevant files. So, first of all, you have to change UAC to never notify, block the windows defender using defender blocker and changing registry key (mere disabling the AV will never be the solution)& give access rights to the setup executables from security and compatibility settings...
2. Now, Do install all the vcredist for both 86 and 64 versions.
3. You may still get the error. Why? Because before 2015 version of vc redist the older versions like 2012 or 2013 has this problem of not incorporating all the libraries from its previous versions...
Now, suppose a game is using a certain version of vc redist 2012 and u have installed the latest vc redist 2012, you will get the error still, because it may happen that a library used by the game was present in that older version of vcredist 2012 and not on the latest version of vc redist 2012.
4. Now what is the solution for that?
First of all clear the %temp%, temp and prefetch folders using win+r.
Then, start the installation as usual clicking the setup, after some time, when the error pops up, don't click ok, because that will roll back the changes and will delete the temp folders which is useful. Just end the task from task manager so that the temp folders preferably named as "IS-×××" or something like that is still there in the %temp% directory.
Now go to that folder, there you will find the exact vcredist version whose library is used while packing this game.
Install that version.
Now after a fresh restart, start the setup again but this time after unchecking the tick boxes of directx, and vcredists from the setup...
Run the setup with proper rights and it will be installed without showing the error code 12 for sure.

So guys i found a tricky fix for this error (at least works for me, and i'm gonna post this under various videos, yes i tried this with various games)

After triying all the possible solutions i started wondering if the setup was messing up some files at the start of the installation process, so after various attempts i discovered that when i start the setup some megabytes of data gets deleted randomly from the biggest files (data1 and data2 most of the times). I started re-checking the files with Deluge (qBittorrent was really weird to use for this fix, since it wasn't downloading missing files fastly after the re-check) and when the torrent reached 100% i ran the setup again : always the same problem.

What i did may sound strange but you have to run the setup and after the installation process started, you have to re-check files with Deluge (WHILE the installation is running and obviously before the error message) and make the download return to 100% again.

This fixed the problem for me (cannot guarantee the fix for you, sorry)

I tried so many ways still not work. Install c++ all in one pack , set virtual memory, try to install game in safe mode, using dll fixer to scan and fix files and errors , change my windows , chang folder or change name, run setup as administrator and chang compatibility to windows 7 , verify all system files and fix it, turn off all option in windows defender and firewall ,and so many way. I even get isdone.dll error code 1 , code 12 and code 11 for fitgirl and codex setup. Don't know what to do please help me 😢

thx mate totally forgot to install vcredist after complete windows format last week.
and the -12 error is gone and the install is working like a charm new

Always a fan of your works DODI...
Just want to mention a few things,
It's always better to Uninstall every vcredist and reinstall the whole package,
Setup virtual memory in each drive of your computer depending on the free spaces, and for me I prefer to manually put the isdone.dll and unarc.dll into the sys32 and syswow64 folder and register them through CMD.
Last but not the least you have to disable the windows defender through following steps and not by just clicking the real time protection tab...
From task scheduler as well as group edit policy...
Only then it will be completely off....
Else random stuck problem will happen while installing the repacks...
