Toyata Chinook is a much better vehicle and so much more reliable a nd cheaper. MPG is far better too..the only thing I'd give the westy is the elevation

Had 2 1984-1990 VW Vanagon westy vans. Started off me and wife living the dream long before van life was a thing. Then plus 1 plus 2 kids. Small yes, tight yes, kids arguing yes. No A/C 110 degrees outside yep, no cruise control. Then got a newer one with A/C and cruise little better. Best time of our family's life kids talk about the epic trips and breakdowns of the van. Looking back would I change anything nope!
