Nicolas James Capaldi dit Jim Capaldi (2 août 1944 à Evesham - 28 janvier 2005 à Londres) est un musicien britannique, notamment membre du groupe de rock Traffic.

Jim Capaldi pratique le chant, la batterie et le piano. Il est même ingénieur du son avant d'entamer sa carrière musicale professionnelle. Il participe à l'existence parfois éphémère de quelques petits groupes (The Hellions notamment, qui deviendront Deep Feeling) avant de rejoindre Steve Winwood pour fonder le groupe Traffic (dix albums entre 1967 et 1974).

Jim Capaldi enregistre son premier album solo en 1972 et débute une seconde carrière après la séparation de Traffic en 1974. Il fut introduit au « Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame » en 2004.
