The Meta QUEST 3S First REAL Picture "LEAKS"!! & PSVR2 on Steam goes LIVE

First of all, why would anybody ever wanna go to that quest 3? S looks like they just made it out of the quest to everybody knows. The quest 2 wasn't really much lighter than the quest. 3, it was uncomfortable. You had to get the elite strap in order 14. Be comfortable enough to play with why the hell? Wouldn't you wanna just spend a few extra $100 and get the quest 3? For which we all know is way more comfortable not to say it doesn't have some downfalls, but come on now. It's definitely better than the quest one. And 2, and it's definitely gonna be better than the quest 3. S anybody that is foolish enough to go out and spend a few $100 on that quest, 3. SI just don't feel sorry for you when you decide. You don't like it later. It's definitely not a better deal. I wouldn't spend no money on it. You couldn't pay me a trillion dollars to buy the quest 3. S, I would rather buy that fifteen hundred dollar headset than to buy the quest three.S

Think they gonna make 3s cheap until the quest 2 stops selling. Then they discontinue the quest 2 and make the 3s pricier.

PSVR 2 just suddenly gaining support for Steam VR is absolutely fricking insane... suddenly Sony just created one of the best PCVR headsets for its price. Windows MR headsets are dead for real now

The pancake lenses was one of the selling points for the quest 3 I am not gonna buy the quest. 3s I hate the old lenses

Tell me if I’m crazy, but on Amazon, it says when you’re buying a quest three the style is headset plus controllers so that might be a possibility that they could sell the quest three or the quest 3S without controllers in the future for people who just want to use it for productivity and hand tracking and don’t want controllers

I know those of us who have a little time under our belts with (or watch lots of videos about) VR are NOT happy about the Quest 3S having Fresnel lenses, but think about it:

For people who have no experience with VR, or whose memories of VR come from the days when you stuck your freakin' phone in the moral--or even literal--equivalent of a cardboard box to "experience" VR, this headset is going to blow them away.

While I hated the Quest 2 for a variety of reasons, the lenses actually wasn't one of them. Meanwhile, my sister, who very rarely gets into VR, was invariably amazed by what the Quest 2 offered, Fresnel lenses or no.

I expect that a lot of people--even some who had the Quest 2 and subsequently got rid of it--will find the Quest 3S to still be an upgrade, if only because of the addition of the color passthrough.

I think it'll do a lot to move VR more solidly toward the mainstream this time, and that's a good thing.

As to those who find the Quest 3S, based on its specs, less than wonderful, or who are afraid they'll get a bad case of FOMO if they buy it, well... maybe they should continue saving up their pennies and go for the Quest 3... or 4, if that's when they're able to get it.

PSVR2 for SteamVR is great but c'mon, no eye-tracking? You can't tell neither Valve nor Sony can't figure out how to rejigger the drivers for eye-tracking to work on pc. That's some corporate e-waste-generation-for-the-sake-of-protecting-their-own-market b***sh*t right there.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Meta didn’t include controllers with the 3s. Just to make people buy them separately and “emphasize” hand tracking

as a tech person, it hurts that tech is going backwords

I think a lot of people are going to realize that PSVR2 is a lot better than they thought once they see it running on a high-end PC. Resident Evil 4 and 8 and other hi-fidelity PS5 PSVR2 games are running at a VERY low resolution, well below panel native res, just to maintain that 60 FPS reprojected. Seeing games running at oversampled res at native 90 or even 120 hz powered by a 4090 is going to make people realize that those displays are a lot better than we realized, even if the mura does take it down a few points.

Yesterday I bought the Quest 3. Today I brought it back. What a piece of crap for almost €500. 😂

I can't wait to see the blacks in the PSVR2 with those oled displays on PC. Elite dangerous should look gorgeous. Hope to see a comparison against Quest3 !

With my luck if i get this headset, immediately after valve and every startup company is gonna release a competitor that is miles better for the same price

personally I think the quest 3 is already the bare minimum if you want a vr headset.. to make a cheap version of that.. meh no thank you

Mark my words. When the 3s launches, it will be at 128Gb. The 128Gb Quest 3 will be discontinued and replaced with a 256Gb model at the same price.

Instead of a cheaper version, I’d rather have a pro version of the Quest 3 with OLeD, Better Passthru cameras, better lenses.

Sure, PSVR2 will not have eye tracking and HDR out of the box, buuuuuut...with stuff like UEVR existing how it does, it'll be a very short matter of time before someone gets those features fully functional.

I am for one excited for quest 3s. I just bought quest 3 and loving it, but 500 usd price is a bit much for me to spend on a whim. I would actually buy quest 3s for my sister. As a gift 300 usd is okay.

We need inside out tracking back. Ai is not fully reliable. We don’t care of this ai or ar crap unless it’s with glasses to be closer to sao

Too sad, the 'new' Q3s seems to come with the same cheap headache-'strap' like the too expensive Q3? Is it also the same front-heavy, battery in front, but with less good lenses and pixel-resolution? At last it looks more like a 'Panda', not so bad linke the Q3. Not sure if I will buy it anyway.
Maybe as a developer I better wait for a real open OS, not the 'Meta'-cage one.

I know this might sound stupid. But I think it would’ve been better to release it with the pancake lenses with quest 2 specs. The new lenses are insane. They are the best part. It really brought me back to vr. Plus it’s so comfortable. Make it like the Xbox series s and Xbox series x. Devs could make a potato setting and a quest 3 setting. Plus the quest 2 owners would still get games in potato mode for the huge install base.

Why buy this over a Q3? Q3 is not that expensive for a good VR headset.

Meta Quest headsets are the best to own because of affordability, content, user adoption and the ecosystem. The experience will only improve with upcoming AI, better specs and upgrades.

I can't understand why ps vr 2 can't use haptics on pc. Like.... it's an official adapter, official app, everything, how can Sony not be able to make it work on pc? It's just a software thing and everything is from Sony. It's not a work-around thing made by fanbase, it's official, come on....
