Honeybees Swarming 240fps Slow Motion Demo Reel V23978

A spring time swarm of honey bees (may or may not be africanized "killer" bees) landed in a privet hedge about 10 feet above the ground, affording a nice opportunity to film them at fairly close range. Rumor has it that swarming bees are not considered dangerous, but nevertheless I chose to keep some distance and use the telephoto lens from 15 feet away!

These scenes were filmed in Santa Clarita, California, with a Sony FS-700RH in full 1080p HD at 240fps, resulting in 10x slower than real life speed when played back at 24fps.
