I'm excited to share my best money saving trip. By far...
1 month before my trip, I sent an email to the Rio hotel casino to "offer match" my Golden Nugget Elite rewards member offers. You will need to attach your current rewards offer from another casino & last year's win/loss statement.
They did an excellent job matching... I was offered:
1 King Ipanema suite (2 night stay on Friday & Saturday)
$400 in free play
$100 food & beverage credit.
2 free passes to a show.

Take the city bus from the airport to NYNY. It's $3.

The best single tip to give is do not visit las Vegas

Just checked room rates for the Venetian on Nov 4-8 2024. Rates dropped $2000.00!!!!! The only reason I called was because of this Video. Thank you Travel Ruby!!!!

We stayed at TI it was convenient having the CVS right there!! We are beer drinkers and we bought 18 packs and saved a lot of money!! We love in and out burger and he loves Gordon Ramsey fish and chips( little pricey) but it’s theeee best!! We also did the Wicked Spoon buffet and loved that too!!

I usually stay near New York new York Excalibur area and the best money saver there I find is ABC store

My tips: Use public transportation ($5 for 24 hr pass with purchase on the bus) - u can use the 108 or 109 from the airport to the south terminal then catch the Deuce to the Strip, don't come on the weekends, arrange for a 3-night timeshare presentation with Wyndham or Marriott for $199 (you will get back $100 after attending the 2-hr presentation + hotel points) for your hotel accommodations.

Heres a few things

Booking direct: If you have the gold rewards with Caesars, you can easily get comped to $50 a night before resort fees at Linq, Harrah's, and a few others. I went this spring to Vegas for Sick New World and trip was from Tuesday to Saturday and my total room cost was $355.

Cheap food: Either use MyVegas for food options or go the Linq Promenade.

If you need to move around the strip, monorails and the deuce will be your friend. 24 hour bus pass is $8 and goes all the way from the airport to Fremont strip.

Many years ago I went to the Venetian and didn’t know about the sensor mini bar - I moved everything out to make room for groceries my local friend was bringing. (Btw she was able to tip her way into my room) and was waiting for me - laughing about the empty mini fridge! I got the charges reversed but it was so wild. This was in 2008ish

Unfortunately for me, rates went up. Tropicana implosion and a festival Oct 18th and 19th. $800 increase since I booked. It was those two events that did it

I’m sorry but the Bellagio tram doesn’t go to Mandalay bay it goes to the back of park which you are basically are at Aria.

Best hack by far is to take the bus from the airport to the strip. Locals doing videos have no concept of the buses.

Hack: bring your own tequila bottles

You said to wrap up your alcohol in towels but we buy Bubble Wrap at Walmart and wrap my Jose Quervo Golden Margarita Mix with my Tequila and Grand Marnier along with our Wine in a Dedicated Suitcase for Libations. Been doing it for over 20 years. Saves a lot of money and you can mix it how you like, as strong as you like (not 10$ for 1 shot)!!!

Could you do a video for the folks out of state who are wanting to bring 30-40k with us to gamble. How are we supposed to bring that much money without bringing it in cash?

I am currently hunting to re-rate direct booking at Aria. Only re-rate I've been able to use so far was it reduced $62 for one night the next day. I still check every day, but I go in 2 weeks, what are the chances the rate will decrease by day of check in? TIA!
