I didn’t want to wait so I bought a pair of refurbished ones from Best Buy and they look brand new and work great! I paid 379.00 and I’m happy with that price and definitely good to pass to husband or daughter if I decide to upgrade later.

I sold mine after 2 years of use… waiting for the 2nd generation.. currently I’m using Airpods Pro 2

Seeing all the features they added to Beats Studio Pro, I'm really excited to see everything they will add to the new AirPods Max.
I skipped the 1st gen because I really wanted wireless lossless support for Apple Music, USBC, etc. I'm hoping they announce this at the iPhone15 event tomorrow, but all the leaks say it's not coming at the event 😥

Imagine if apple went the extra mile and not only added lossless over Bluetooth but also atmos lossless on the AirPods Max. Spatial Audio + CD quality sound = Match made in heaven.

Where is the headphone base from that you used in the video?

Compressed audio over Bluetooth was a thing before BT 2.0 and newer, but these days it shouldn't be an issue since it doesn't require more than just above 1Mbps speed.

mehh who needs earphones with a case, not important…better anc, sound, battery life, customisation eq and why on earth wouldn’t you have a on/off switch 🤦🏽

If the AirPod Max 2 doesn't have a power button, USB-C, & WR rating, its a deal breaker for me.

Appel's own fault, I saw copies in Bangkok that are indistinguishable from the original for $50, the sound quality was adequate.

I’ve had these since launch and I literally threw out the case like two years ago. I have never once had a battery life issue with them.

A feature I would also like above these features is a water resistant rating. If they’re going to charge £549 for the original AirPods Max I would’ve expected some WR ratings

I’ll consider buying one if it will get sweat/water resistance. 😅

My right ear has been giving me problems with the audio cutting out. Sent it to apple numerous times still not fixed

Touch controls are awful. If they used them I would turn them off permanently. Unless theres no option to, in which case i will just pass.

Frankly, I detest touch controls because they tend to be pretty finicky. In fact, the best thing about my APMs is the Digital Crown, which gives me reliable volume control even if I'm wearing gloves. If Apple takes away the Digital Crown, I'll be a lot less likely to buy APM2s. I'd be happy with getting USB-C connectivity, an on-off button, lossless audio, and a nice case in a set of APM2s that still have the Digital Crown--and replaceable ear cups (dang these things get nasty sweaty when I use them on a long walk!). 
And much as I thought the $550 was a ridiculously high price when the APMs came out, I'd probably be first in line to buy APM2s with these features.
I do, however, wish they would allow us to by annually renewing AppleCare+, as mine died a month or two after my AppleCare expired because I couldn't renew it. (I tried.) I was not a happy camper.

Hoping they can do head tracking spatial over USB, or switch to a new wireless standard that is sub 20ms. Would be huge for content creation.

I'm really hoping for a better mic quality for AP Max. Then, it will be the only headset I use for everything. Wired to PC and Wireless to Apple devices will be awesome too.

I'll def buy AirPods Max 2.0 if they come with H2 chip (and 2x better ANC along with adaptive audio ofc), as well as USB-C.
While I hope that they add lossless audio, the audio processing (especially with H2 chip as compared to H1) is so good it's not really necessary, even for an audiophile like myself. What I'd deem more important is a case that completely covers the device (including headband) and isn't contoured around the ear cups bc it looks like a bra.

My only complaint with the Max headphones is the ring of sweat round each ear when I take them off.

Lol you misread the 9to5 Mac article. The highest voted feature that people want is actually H2 chip… at 13.45%. Lossless audio is 13.35%. I know this may seem like splitting hairs, but you guy’s position yourself as an authority or video journalist. Sloppy work guys

After 1.5 year the headband stained, the right ear constantly disconnecting, the mesh on the headband is loose, the case is dirty, I better buy some B&O. I can't sit in them for more then 2 hours because it either hurts or too warm....

Hi :) do you guys think I should still purchase this mid-to-late 2023 ?? As a student I think this is such a wonderful companion especially during long study hours … I really wanted to wait for the second iteration but it looks like that will be either next year or even a couple years from now and I definitely need one now… thanks 😊
