By now, we should all understand that EV's race advantage is instant, maximum torque; disadvantage is its heavy weight; so simple 0-60, 1/4 mile are obsolete. the race has to be more comprehensive, including starting, turning, and break...

Okay but now can you carry a family of 5 comfortably as well have it drive itself completely on any road in the C8 all while getting 125mpge in the city? A big fucking no. Tesla wins, sorry it has to be said

In the real world (on a city street) the Tesla will pull ahead. No one that drives a corvette is launching at every light.

The Tesla isn't designed to race. It's meant to be a family car. That Corvette was loaded with everything it had. And the vette only barely pulled it out. The Tesla is the better car. Cheaper to operate, cheaper to buy, and also far more practical for everyday use. The Tesla (like all EV's) is also nearly maintenance free FOR IT'S ENTIRE LIFE. The Corvette is a maintenance nightmare.

I'd take the Tesla, easy choice.

Maybe a model 3 Performance have a better chance.....why didn't they use m3P instead?

So dodgy the specs they choose to show and not show. As if the MYP's horsepower and torque aren't available? Meanwhile they list it in other videos. Clear that they favor companies that advertise with them. Put any of these against a Plaid.

The C8 Z51 has Z-mode. One click and it goes to beast mode. It's a lot faster than what is shown in this video. It can also get to 60 in UNDER 3 seconds stock...

Tesla are quick not fast. My friend has a model y. I took him in my zl1, He quit talking after I shifted to third gear.

You dont have to put the vette in LC...sometimes the old fashioned feather foot produces better acceleration...just need a bit of practice on whatever surface its on.
