Cult of the Cat (and a female candidate?)

I reread a 1963 book by Patricia Dale-Green, Cult of the Cat, so I’ll discuss some of the content about Bastet, the cosmic Virgin cat, and how cats have been revered, reviled and persecuted and why.
N.B:
I posted this video about “Cult of the Cat” and responses are making Kamala Harris connections that I never intended, so I changed the title adding “and a female candidate.” J D Vance the chosen VP for the GOP tried to smear Kamala, who apparently likes cats, as one of the “childless cat ladies” in a 2021 interview that has resurfaced.
