ALFA Network WiFi Camp Pro 3 (& 3 Mini) Captive Portal Password Security Workaround for RV parks

The ALFA WiFi Network WiFi Camp Pro 3 is designed to boost weak WiFi networks at campgrounds, RV parks, and other places. With traditional password security like on a home WiFi network, the connection process is seamless.

Some places, like a coffee shop, airport, or some RV parks use a non-standard type of security instead, called a captive portal. You connect your device to the network without a password, but once you try and load a web page you get a popup asking for login details and/or to accept a terms of service page before getting Internet access.

Captive Portal networks are often seamless during Camp Pro 3 setup too: you proceed to set it up as if you are connecting to an open non-password protected network, then once connected you are automatically redirected to the sign in page. But not always...

Because the protocol standard varies by place and router brand, you can encounter captive portal networks where, after setup, the Camp Pro status screen shows you are connected without Internet access and there is no way to proceed.
