Honestly,glad this was left off of Thriller. The melody of this song is very good,but the lyrics are not that great,imo. I think Sambello is a great songwriter ("Maniac" from Flashdance),but the lyrics to this song didn't fit in with Thriller. I could see MJ singing these Lyrics as a teen in the 70s,but the coming into manhood MJ of the 80s,the content of the lyrics seems adolescent. You can't have a man singing about the adult themed question of paternity on Billie Jean,then singing about losing his heart on a carousel to a circus girl.
