You should check northern Sulawesi city of Menado, the capital of the Minahasa race there whose forefathers are Mongolian led by a General of Klublai Khan with his wife from the Palace as Khublai Khan son was after her as well, more than 800 yeas ago. Google the Lumi and Toar tale (our Adam an Eve). And given that the Dutch colonized us for 350 years, there is a Dutch influence in Minahasa and why we are mostly Christians. Our Fried Chicken was considered the best by world top Chef decades ago and we have the spiciest foods. Check us out....

Just to share, lots of outsiders (Americans, Europeans especially), some of them are "concerned" (mostly for their safety?) When they found out about 🇮🇩 being moslem majority country -- when they shouldn't have that concern -- ... I bet you didn't feel unsafe during your visit anywhere where you are? I think Indonesians are genuinely friendly and very welcoming you and I noticed some have helped you further .... 🙏

Rammang - Rammang is part of Bantimurung -Bulusaraung National Park (TN Babul) and now it becomes UNESCO Global Geopark (2023). Some interesting facts about TN Babul : 1. It was 2nd largest karst formation in the world after Guilin in China. This area spread into 4 four region. 2. There are 2 location of the oldest rock art painting in the world that has age more than 45000 years, one in Bulu Sipong 4 (Pangkep) and the oldest in Maros area ( secret location). 3. It has beautiful Bantimurung Waterfall, known as The Kingdom of Butterfly named by Famous British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace.

Wow, it seems like the local government has really stepped up! A friend took me to Rammang-Rammang many years ago, and there was literally no tourism infrastructure. I remember being so thirsty in that village (Berua) and there was nowhere to buy a cold drink. Now they even have a community space that sells food? Good job, whoever who’s behind all this. I especially like the idea to sell blue nasi goreng to make use of ᨅᨘᨂᨈᨒᨂᨛ temen raleng (butterfly pea flower). Now that there’s a train line that takes you from Tallo (Makassar) to Rammang-Rammang it might be time for another visit.
