ОтветитьJust fyi - the content of this video is still relevant, but the plugin name has changed to WPvivid Backup Plugin
ОтветитьCan we use this from local to hosting?
ОтветитьSuper video as always. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьThank you, Paul. This is great!
ОтветитьSo I transferred in a domain name that has a Wordpress site on it. Do I install Wordpress to the domain name and then do the transfer in? How does this work if you are transferring domain name as well as site?
ОтветитьGreat video indeed! Wondering how you pointed the original domain especially if you bought from a different registrar from where your website was being hosted.
ОтветитьGreat job, master class.
ОтветитьDo licensed 3rd party plugins get migrated too without issue?
ОтветитьGreat job! Made migrating a fairly complex site stupid simple and in well under an hour.
Ответитьwill this work from localhost using xampp?
Ответитьperfect, thank you
ОтветитьYour Genius!!! thanks for this video. Very helpful.
Ответитьcan you use a backup to migrate to another host. Say you closed with the original host a few months back?
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьThanks buddy, worked better than the all in one plugin...
Ответитьwhat if we use a custom template theme, does it also transfer or do i have to install the theme on the reciever hosting ?
ОтветитьThanks for the video Paul, now going to try it with a difficult site 4gb+ 😀
Ответитьelementor doesnt work htacees file missing
ОтветитьAmazing
you always come up with what i was looking for
I saw that you are using DIVI, do you need to install that as well on the destination server or a basic WUP install. Thanks for the video!!!
ОтветитьI have a few websites under the same hosting account. They consider them subdomains even though I have paid domain names for them all. Do I need to do this for each one? Someone mentioned backing up the cpanel. Do I need to do that?
ОтветитьThis is way too easy and unreal. Thanks man.
ОтветитьWhat do you do if the website is too big to transfer? It says receiving site can't receive the oversized data chunk. Please set the value of the Chunk size to 512 KB in plugin Settings. Can't figure out how to do that. Any work arounds? Thanks!
Ответитьmy one shwing me errorr
ОтветитьIs there a good alternative to WPVivid? I want to migrate from Elementor hosting but that plug-in can’t be used…
ОтветитьSir, you saved me a ton of time with this video thank you so much!!
ОтветитьExcellent video, great tool, what a contrast to some how to videos.
ОтветитьTHX man! Very easy! Had a bunch of tries with other Plugins but this one is truely amazing! THX stay Save!
ОтветитьThis is the only one that worked the first time @WPTuts thank you for this video.
ОтветитьPints on me next time I visit Wales..........
ОтветитьThanks great video, for clarity will the source website still be active or the whole will just be transferred?
ОтветитьRare to see a tutorial where the person not only knows what they're talking about, but also can explain it simply. Thanks. Great Plugin!!
ОтветитьOne of the most helpful and genuine tutorials on the internet. Pretty straightfoward!!!
ОтветитьWorked a charm, thank you for this video. I failed with many other plugins and methods before discovering your video.
Two things to note.
1) make sure PHP versions on the old and new server are the same. I had to change mine before it worked.
2) if it continues to fail, try again but restore the database first.
Thank you!!!! ♥
Ответитьwow it works :-) thank for the video
ОтветитьThanks for that. It worked exactly as described.
ОтветитьGreat tut, Great plugin, Amazing teacher!!!!
ОтветитьIt doesn't work on big sites. Timeout errors may occur.
ОтветитьThumps Down Twice Lol Cheeky :-)
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьHello, nice video,
what if i have a paid theme and plugins, can i migrate them too? Also I have to migrate a subdomain to a completely new domain, can i do it with this method?
do i need another domain name for this? i want my wp site to migrate into other server without changing the domain name. how?
ОтветитьI have a unique situation. I have one working site. The site that needs to have duplicate wp is not accessable directly on the Internet. I could port forward it to a port xxxx site on my IP. And access the working site which has a different IP as source. However it appears that port numbers are not accessable. I have for that reason gone to all-in-one-wp-migration where I can capture the data, put it on my cloud, and upload it using the other site. However I am 2mb over the file size limit... So am working on getting the file size changed per Github instructions... Do you think your other backup system would work somehow ? My total file size is under 11Mb.
Thanks...
