I just received mine today and I couldn’t be happier! I live out of the city and I was getting like 10 mbps download speed with AT&T and now I’m getting well over 150. Night and day difference!
ОтветитьHow can I pi-hole the gateway?
ОтветитьI cut spectrums cable best move I could have made
ОтветитьYou just walked into a T-Mobile store and signed up? Wow. I've been on their waiting list for almost a year. I guess that's what I get for living way out here in the wilderness of Los Angeles.
Ответитьjust tried to compare this to Verizon and it don't think my email services are valid yet i used them for 27 years
i have never used the provider email always online ones not all places have 5 g yet including my fl city of 200k residents
Do they throttle the speed after a terabyte?
ОтветитьVerizon was the first with 5G home internet, AT&T and T-Mobile use 4G technology and Verizon pulled out the 5G and now use a 4G as they could not compete with the others.
ОтветитьMiles better than the absolute dog poop of a 3Mbps WISP or the ancient 1.5Mbps Centurypoop DSL that doesn't work 99.99% of the time one can only get in my area. 300-600+Mbps down day and night and it has just been fantastic!
ОтветитьDepends on your needs. If you do any sort of work from home, schooling and gaming/streaming then I personally would say steer away from it. If you just need internet or Wi-Fi to stream shows and I guess casually use the internet then go for it. Like others the experience wasn't bad at first, never noticed a dip in my numbers but my service/internet drops A LOT. I'm not too sure if it's anyone else but after 11 p.m it would be a game of Russian roulette if I could even get on without the internet just cutting off for minutes and up to an hour at times.
ОтветитьSo far it's been good every once in awhile there's a hiccup where it has to reboot or sometimes you have to manually reboot it especially when you're watching a movie from Netflix or prime and sometimes lose signal from storms but for the price you can't go wrong especially if you're on a fixed income. But to always be able to fix the signal, the best thing I've always noticed is turning it off count 10 seconds, then rebooting it, and then it goes back to where you were before. It is great for people that are on social security or disability. This is the best internet for you to be able to use for an internet source when you are on a fixed income and have to watch how much you spend. The only one downfall for people that are on a fixed income I do not have a credit card there is an alternative using T-Mobile's prepaid company Metro PCS they will hook you up with the same type of system and you would pay $50 a month the same way just using it through Metro PCS.
ОтветитьI got the service for couple month. But it’s can’t play online game. It drop many times. It’s suck. So I switch back to my Xfinity. 65$ a month.
ОтветитьSo a no go on remote VPN from home to work or gaming
ОтветитьNot interested in any service from T-Mobile after reading the terms of service in 2024. Who made T-Mobile a legal Court to find people for money in private messages that they did not agree with. If you own T-Mobile stock you might want to get out now because of what happened to Budweiser and PayPal
ОтветитьFor professional needs there is also no port forwarding. For good basic Internet, though, it is an excellent, affordable solution.
ОтветитьMoving into my first apartment soon. Any point of getting this or should I just use my phones hotspot I have go5g plus plan so 50gb of 5g and then unlimited max 3g speeds after. I do a good amount of gaming tho when I can
ОтветитьI love it I'm in the middle of now were and when I do wanna sit down and play a game I'm not lagging around and the download speed it good
Ответитьbasically home hotspot? i’ll pass, though recently signed up for at&t fiber, and i’m very satisfied!
ОтветитьI think it's the T mobile is crap it cost me 80.00 a month and most of the time on the phone with with the internet angt. They keep turning the damn thing off!
ОтветитьIs it good for gaming?
Ответитьtmobile only worth it if you enjoy being cut off without any warnings every 2 weeks Im hoping verizon has thier 5g buisiness internet ducks in a line this is my first experience with Tmobile and im NOT going back to have worry that every 2 weeks I have to go back into store for more of thier shut off games..no thank you
ОтветитьI was under the impression..that there modem was only 2.4 or 5ghz..so it can also give out a 6gz signal 🤔
ОтветитьWow! Understood half of the lingo you uttered.
ОтветитьIk im late but nice ltt mat
ОтветитьI have Verizon 5G. The speed is inconsistent and during the day I found it lowered to like, 5mb…even with my window open. At times, I get between 150-350mb but I hate the inconsistent speeds, because it causes buffering. Not happy at all.
ОтветитьCan I buy this even though I don’t have T-Mobile on my mobile device ?
ОтветитьMy question, that no one at a store will answer, is what's the difference in this and the mifi devices they sell? Could you take this on vacation with you as well and use it, if you needed to?
ОтветитьI’m getting about 350mbps as well with it. We use it primarily as a failover to my UDM SE. We have also toted it around when we have gone on vacation last year. If you get into a major city or beach town with it i have pulled close to a gig with it even thought the T-Mobile sales guy says the modems are only good for 600mbps. Over all im pretty pleased with it. It’s nice to go on vacation and not have to worry about dealing with the hotels WiFi.
ОтветитьHow about Gaming and Live Streaming? Is it worth it?
ОтветитьWell executed video, the tests were done perfectly, and the information was disseminated in a fluid way. Thank you.
ОтветитьI switched away from my former Internet company for mainly one reason: The annual "price renegotiation". Every year they proposed an absurd price increase. If I did nothing, that's what I'd pay. However, after 30-40 minutes of negotiation at various levels, I could usually bring the price back to the "12 month introductory" rate. Who needs that. T-mobile promises NO rate increases. Once and done! A bonus is that T-mobile 5G is faster than the former service.
ОтветитьIs the 5G home internet speed related to the t-mobile phone speed? In our area, the t-mobile signal is pretty weak, I guess the 5g home internet signal can also be weak?
ОтветитьUpdate: Starlink is superior now where I live. Starlink removed the waiting list and now everyone in the US can get the standard ~$120 a month setup.
Also note Elon keeps sending up more batches of Starlink satellites which looks like at least once or twice a month. Like today on 'X' I see he just sent up another batch of 23!
Starlink should keep improving in quality over the next few years.
I have two t-mobile, I have IPTV and have some trouble with the picture freezing for up to sometimes 30 seconds. I don't know if it's the wifi or if the IPTV is the problem. Any one having the same thing when using IPTV?
ОтветитьCan you take this with you on travel to other cities for vacation if the area has the service or is it gps location to home only?
ОтветитьMan I’ll tell u all if u in an area that xfinity covers I say get xfinity u won regret it best internet I’ve ever had if u have no choice and live in the country rural area like myself now T-Mobile is probably going to be the best option especially if y’all don’t like satellite like myself
ОтветитьWhen your "terrible" speed at the start of the video is better than my current home internet.
ОтветитьThe other usb is for tethering
ОтветитьMetro home Internet sucks
ОтветитьIs there a way to attach a high gain directional outdoors antenna to that Gateway? Thank you.
ОтветитьSo I would potentially have up to 10 devices connected but probably only running 5 or 6 at any given time currently have spectrum and hate it as far as cost, thinking of this option as a cost cutter but not sure, so here I am trying to do my research beforehand.
ОтветитьI’ve got 12 devices on my network (iPhone, iPad, bedroom TV, times 3 members of the family plus 3 general use TVs, all streaming). Can the Cell phone home network handle this kind of volume?
ОтветитьExperiences with gaming and live streaming anyone?
ОтветитьAside from satellite, I have two options for Internet. No cable here. One is an outfit that provides a Motorola Canopy radio mounted to the house, aimed at a cell tower about five miles away. It was reliable but hardly fast, and it was expensive, around $90 for modest speed service. T-Mobile now runs about 75 down and 32 up. Plenty good for me. T-Mobile seems to ration the accounts on each tower to prevent overloading, something I don't think they always did, which might account for experiences that changed over time. This tower was upgraded last year. Very easy to set up. Customer tech service is very good.
Ответитьthis thing sucks! I switched from spectrum to this and it’s been awful since.
ОтветитьSwitching from my phones hotspot to T-Mobile home internet hope it’s a lil better😂
ОтветитьI think this is the way to go sooner or later, once the bugs are worked out it's a no brainer so let's see how this goes going forward.
ОтветитьI feel sorry for my neighbor 90% of the time he has no internet, you go to settings it says he has a strong internet connection but when he goes to get on the internet for his small business it just spins for hours on end. Then T-Mobile sends them a bill for $336.00 stating he's 6 months behind but his bank account shows where T-Mobile has taken the money out of his account for each month ( auto pay). I would definitely run.
ОтветитьWhat’s the best place to put the gateway? By the window or in the middle of the house?
