I got a perfect score in this unhealthy relationship checkmark. Because he compared me to his former crushes and exes, I felt insecure for and jealous for the first time. I asked for fashion advice and he sent a picture of his college former crush saying: try dressing like this.

He also looked for his high school former crush while I was in front of him saying "Why isn't she here?" "she's supposed to be here." "i wish she was here." Which made me like I didn't exist at all and scared when he doesn't update me, because he might've forgotten i existed again.

We rarely have time together and I felt neglected. I tried communicating him and nothing changed. I exploded one time because he and his college former crush brought over food for their friends. She brought sweet and sour pork while he brought fried rice. They looked like a couple. I fainted due to the accumulated stress.

Finally, he invited over his high school former crush last month to his house at night, just the two of them.

I admit I became toxic. For the first time in my life, I felt insecurity and hated myself so much that I wanted to peel my skin off. Being compared, feeling I didn't exist, and finally being so physically affected by the stress made me leave.

Sometimes it's the right thing to end the relationship before it goes any further. Yes you will be sad for a few months but you may save your own life.

Problems are not relationships problems are people's attitude. Every person has the different kind of personality we can't fix their thinking to ours. So the conclusion is find a person with your tune is mixing. Your vibes are coming.

I have this behaviour and want to change it who can give me guidance?

When I was in a really toxic relationship what finally made me wake up to it was they always complained about every single thing I did and I never seemed to make them happy or proud. I finally asked them “What do you love about me then?” because I was noticing a pattern of denigration and manipulation that I perceived to be from their own insecurities. Asking him that one question stunned him and he could t answer it. THAT was when I knew none of this was love and when I decided to leave him.

Good to see parents letting kids call them out. A friend encouraged me to encourage my children to do it. I actually did not like it much, but when i started seeing the results, I was grateful I did it. Even as adults, now they will still do it.

Also a healthy relationship advice from traditional country :
1) relationships start with respect.
2: relationship starts with trust.
3) relationships don't work on demands but altruism.
4) make sure it is both ways.
5) draw conditions on which you would suspend relationships or end them.
6) in 2023 70% men don't want any relationships, compared to 37% of women. so these talks about relationships are a little bit pointless.

If you are really struggling with codependency please look into healing childhood ptsd. You don't even need to remember the trauma or dive into it to heal the behaviours you're doing today. But it all stems from somewhere

I'm glad she said how common it is, and unhealthy and toxic behaviours aren't necessarily targeted abuse or violence, and 100% of people will experience unhealthy relationships
