I keep my butter in a tin with a lid in the counter and it's works fine. When it's hot it gets a bit too soft, but I bet that'll happen with the butter crock. It's pretty, but not necessary in my opinion. Uh... Those aren't real omelettes because they don't have a filling and you can do this in a pan and turn it over. I do use that kind of kettle all the time for my tea and french press coffee
ОтветитьThat butter dish looked pretty sweet!
ОтветитьThe electric kettles work much faster in Europe with 240V compared to the US with the very wimpy 120V, for people that care about this because they make a lot of tea, some have even installed 240V in their kitchens.
ОтветитьButter crock is for UNSALTED butter. It will go bad quickly
ОтветитьThose butter bells are nasty. Theyre watery, wet, and will mold way faster than a typical butter dish. They also need so much more cleaning.
Gross.
40 years ago I remember my grandmother kept her butter in water. There has got to be some science to this .
ОтветитьGot the tea kettle a few months back. I’m a hot tea person and it does an awesome job heating the water for my morning tea. Hears quickly for the week days when i need to get to work. LED lights and rolling bubble affect is super cool!
ОтветитьThey have a butter knife that has three sides witch different selection the tip and the holes like yours but the other side has alike the ribbon but wide the whole length of the knife head. Should try that one if you love the knife. This was the listed title Simple preading Magic Butter Knife Spreader and Curler - Complete Your Kitchen Knives Set, Curl Your Butter with Ease 3 Different Ways
ОтветитьI've used an electric kettle for ions. It's a game changer.
ОтветитьWe have a similar cordless kettle and love it.
Ответить30 euro for this is a lot. I can buy a microwave for 40 euro
ОтветитьOmelettes are not fluffy. An omelette is a thin egg envelope folded AROUND some filling. Can't beat a frying pan for making them. Those things are mini frittatas.
Ответитьthe kettle being a wider bottom and not in quiet as direct contact with the heat as the electric kettle, as well as the amount of air space inside each varying, will all affect the time it takes to get the stove top kettle to actually whistle. The water temp inside is what you need to check, not just when the whistle occurs.
ОтветитьThose aren’t omelettes. Those are scrambled eggs with stuff added.
ОтветитьButter on the counter. Never refrigerated. I’ve kept it out 2 months without problems. Never had issues. There’s a butter keeper that holds a stick and the water goes on the outside.
ОтветитьI had a butter crock back in the 70s, we really loved it. I don’t know what happened to it. It might’ve broken and I haven’t been able to find another one, thanks for tipping me off to Amazon on this.
ОтветитьOxygen is what makes butter go rancid. Butter dish of any kind works. I have had mine on counter for decades.
ОтветитьYou know how i have soft spreadable butter… USE REAL BUTTER
ОтветитьLove my butter crock, mine is in the shape of a short stick of butter so you simply push it in and it stays.
ОтветитьThe omelettes look burnt to me. I don’t like my eggs browned but I do want the eggs cooked through.
ОтветитьI’m 65 and we have always kept our butter on the kitchen counter tier in a butter dish. Yes, it has melted, but no I’ve e never had any problems.
ОтветитьHave been using from a long time. Once hot the water cools down very quick comparing to boil on the range.
ОтветитьI use the butter bell all of the time. I have no problem with it. I love the Butter Bell.
ОтветитьLove the kettle. In fact it's more than just a kettle, it's like a water feature on the kitchen work top.
ОтветитьAs of November 2023 the kettle is now $45, looks like this was posted in March priced under $30!!??
It went up $15 in 8 months? NO THANKS!!
I do hate when I am ion a rush and trying to make toast and the butter is hard as a rock. That little butter croc seemed like it keeps the butter fresh and soft.
ОтветитьI have a kettle from Walmart for 18.99 that has buttons on the handle for various settings for teas, French Press and one button for just plain boil. I use the one for the French Press setting most every day. It's labeled for Hamilton Beach, an old name here in the US. Made by ???????? When it reaches the desired setting it beeps 6 times.
ОтветитьBaby oil for the chrome
ОтветитьI’ve been using a butter crock for a decade now and I won’t do it any other way!
ОтветитьThe omelettes made in this gadget taste nothing like those made on a heavy iron skillet.
My omelette maker, bought with high hopes,is now lying unused just after one try.
You've got to be a sucker for paying that much for those 3 things. I would never buy either of them even they were lots cheaper. You can make an omelet without a gadget to do it. And my gas stove heats water perfectly in my little kettle.
ОтветитьDon't people just leave butter in the fridge??
ОтветитьDuring the Kettle Showdown I realized you'd have a bright future being a sports anchor 😄😆😂
Ответитьlike the gadgets not your commentary, though............................
ОтветитьI wonder how a gas stove would compare.
ОтветитьThese were silly. A kettle and butter bell? Really? Just post the decades of European reviews.
ОтветитьI love my butter bell! Never have had any negative experiences with it. My fridge has a crushed ice option and I use that. I change the water every 3 days. Have always used en electric kettle including one in our camper. I recently got an induction burner and am using it. It’s faster. If I didn’t have that I would be using my electric kettle. The kettle is still going strong after 12 years of hard use.
ОтветитьThe weird thing is I’m a housekeeper and a client has this on the counter. It was dusty so today I washed it. I of course was curious as to how it worked, I had assumed it turned heavy cream into butter lol then tonight I’m just scrolling along and here’s this in my feed lol so weird??? At least now I know.
ОтветитьI love my kitchen kettle! Every morning I make coffee I grind the beans and use the french press method of making it. Cant stand coffee anywhere else sadly. It spoils you rotten
ОтветитьNot one of those gadgets interests me
ОтветитьI don't use water in my butter bell. Works fine with out and you don't have to remember to change the water.
ОтветитьI don't understand. You put room temperature butter into a dish and praise the dish because the butter is room temperature? If you put the jar in a FRIDGE and the butter remained soft, THAT would be noteworthy. Only an American could possibly put water in a bottle and be amazed that there's actually water in the bottle! Duh! Omg, Americans don't have electric kettles..? Which era do you all live in ? 😂
ОтветитьOmelette maker, is a cereal bowl sprayed with pan spray, and a salad plate as a cover. Place in the microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes for two eggs with ham and or minced veggies. Slides right out of the bowl. No need to store another appliance.
ОтветитьButter bell is a ridiculous way to waste your money. People have managed for centuries with a butter dish, or a butter bowl. If you use butter daily, put one stick in your butter bowl and leave on the counter. If you only use butter for making eggs and toast once a week, put about 1/4 stick in your butter bowl and leave on the counter. Replace when used up. Did not cost $28. 😂
ОтветитьThis is so strange to me, but I live in the US and I have an electrical kettle, my previous roommates had their own electric kettles, there are electrical kettles at work, my parents and my brother also own an electrical kettle... I'm actually really baffled at how people in the UK are surprised people in the US don't have electrical kettles because I thought it was really common here. But then again, I'm Asian and so were my roommates and so are my coworkers. So what's normal to me, maybe it isn't normal for everyone else, like a owning a rice cooker
ОтветитьButter crocks are a clever invention. Simply excluding the air keeps it fresh. Nice soft butter is great.
ОтветитьHeat, moisture, and humidity in your kitchen will cause the butter to fall into the water no matter the climate. When it works, it's great. Now i just use a regular butter dish. No worries.
ОтветитьLove my butter bell. had it for years. I finally figured out to just let my stick of butter get to room temp while still in the wrapper. Then when ready, peel it back off 1/2 the stick, stand the stick up over the bell, and squoosh (a technical term) the stick down into the bell. Also, the water dripping doesn't bother me at all because I always just stand the bell up on the counter when I take the bell out. I've never seen anybody just hold it.haha. When it's time to refill, I take out the last of the butter with a spatula, clean the bell, do my new stick of butter trick, then put the butter from the spatula on top. Highly recommend them.
ОтветитьI think your butter crock is a crock.
The "omelet maker" has been around for 40 years.
The 'electric kettle" is nothing but an upgraded electric coffee pot with the guts removed.
You did no comparison with just butter in a normal butter dish
