I love this place!
ОтветитьI started the video thinking I might watch a couple minutes of the video, but nope, I watched the whole thing. Smart resourceful guy!
ОтветитьLED Bulbs Are SO Bad for You!¡
ОтветитьWow! This is definitely one of the best, if not the best ever!
ОтветитьVery nice
ОтветитьI love this cabin. It's so cozy and very beautiful. I wish I had thought about this when I was younger. I'm 74 and in 4 months I will 75 and permanent disable. I admire your work and the beauty of your cabin....
ОтветитьWhat state is this?
Ответитьyour cabin on the inside is just so beatiful i love the white pine, and that is exactly the kind of interior ive always wanted.
Ответитьlove it!!!😁
ОтветитьBrother, what I see is a man of many talents and it all is well built!! I'm impressed and inspired so I subscribed!! I really did get a lot from this brother, live free!!
ОтветитьWow ,,, what an awesome job you did sir ,, been in construction a long time and love the simplicity but also the efficiency 💯💯👍👍🙏
ОтветитьSooo helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьLove what you've accomplished..its so "homie" you said your cost was around 20k ..does that include the wells you probably had drilled? ..thx again for sharing your wonderful home 😊
ОтветитьNow Mr you can top it all off with your new Bride, great life ever after ❤
ОтветитьThis guy is awesome. Also, I think this is David Lee Roth
ОтветитьI love this video. It's so simple and practical.

ОтветитьPretty dog gone cool!!!😁
ОтветитьShe gone! :-)
ОтветитьI’m a big fan of naps!!
ОтветитьSo cosy
ОтветитьGlad you enjoyed it. Step down was so i could put the new roof under the old roof and still keep as much headroom as possible. Solar table is heavy enough turning in the wind has not been an issue. Best wishes. Scott
ОтветитьAh yes! The perfect cabin, it is almost too nice. 🙂.
The one un-answered question is (drum roll): How long did it take total and how long did it take per "modules"?
Just discovered your and your Husband's channel. Great stuff!
Another delightful off grid tour and featuring such a pleasant guy. And Scott, don't listen to the critics, everything you've done is perfect.
Ответить
Her skal man have tilladelse til bare at trække vejret.
Men jeg er stadigvæk solgt til dit værk.
Så held og lykke med yderligere knopskydninger på dit hus.
MVH. Ole
There is a lot there to take in, and a lot of good ideas
ОтветитьI love this cozy little place. I didn't notice a washer or dryer. How does he do his laundry? ❤
ОтветитьLove the water hand pump. BRILLIANT 😊
ОтветитьThis is what they should of taught us in school instead we have laws that force working man values "curriculum"
ОтветитьThe cabin looks absolutely amazing. Nice job
ОтветитьAwesome place!
Couple questions, you explained why there is a step down to where the bathroom is (for the roof), but why is there a step down for the room at the back of the house? Is it aesthetic?
For the solar panels that spin, does the wind ever catch that and just keep spinning it?
Thank you, love the place!
What about building inspection? Is it not required in your area?
ОтветитьGreat tour of a wonderful home housing a wonderful guy. I have a question perhaps someone can answer. I'm assuming his water was from well points driven into the ground, (great idea by the way having them under the house) which I have experience with just connected to a shallow water pump. My question is when he uses the on demand 12 volt pump, does he have the pickup tube running down inside the 1 1/4 inch pipe far enough to hit the water? Just figured it would have to be to draw the water.
ОтветитьMy family has a 110 yr old one room cabin NW of Green Bay with an outhouse. I'm always amazing by people who think it's going to be dirty and disgusting! A porta John at the county fair is far, far more disgusting than an old style outhouse!
ОтветитьSimple and comfy are the words that come to mind.
ОтветитьWorld would be a better place with people who could be as happy as this man with as minimal of possessions as him. What an amazing story
ОтветитьIMO, you can't say you're "off grid" and use liquefied propane gas. Your only energy-service sources can be sustainable wood (which is used here thankfully) and the sun (solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, windmills, water).
I appreciate this guy's work though, to make his cabin livable.
Very cool! Thanks, Brooke!
ОтветитьThat’s what I’m afraid of.
More people there is, the more problems you can have.
What are you going to do?
He’s done like I’ve thought of. Start with a main cabin and keep adding on..
If I had the area and built mine, I would make the kitchen and bathroom separate areas.
Keep areas with water a separate area. That way if you had a leak, moisture would not ruin everything.
Grow rooms or area a different area also.
This guy has a lot of good ideas. He makes living off grid a bit more easier.
A lot of thought went into this.
I love it!
This guy is SO smart. I love how he did things.
ОтветитьDammit! after watching all this and having a super philosophical comment i was going to post, he popped back in and said "no meter, they took it away", which caused me to deposit my morning coffee on my keyboard. i would love to meet this guy and just talk with coffee, he has it (and life) figured out!
ОтветитьYour awesome. Some people couldn't live this way.
ОтветитьReally nice 😊
ОтветитьNo liberals near it 😂lol
