I am pesemistic. F1 is like a Ferrari dealer when it comes to pleasing fans, they have very loyal people who will pay for tickets no matter what product is offered. The current cars are bland, soulless, and overweight. The races are sleeping pills in movie form. F1 doesn't have the balls to make the necessary changes to make the sport watchable again.

Yeah, they need to take a page out of Le Mans book with their new hybrid prototypes that are electric in the pits but anything from V8-V12 after 25 mph. This way, it’s “hybrid” and ticks that box, and high revving with sustainable fuel, and tix those boxes. Win, win, win!

"Sustainable" is the biggest BS marketing creating since "Fossil Fuel" was coined by Rockefeller to artificially increase demand.

I’m sure these teams are capable of creating v8 hybrids that are capable of achieving equal fuel economy to the turbo v6 hybrids.

Would love to have N/A V6 engines, or V12's. I mean, we never had an official V12 era unlike V10 or V8. Or make everyone use V16 :)

Sustainable fuels are laughable, bring back freedom of fuels gasoline, methanol, toluene, nitro whatever. And bring back refueling!

Make it about the passion, strive, freedom and will of the sport, not about dumb uncertain politics that does not care about this sport nor does they help it only brings it slowly down..

Look I don't know what you mean by 'spectacular' cars, simulation shows the new cars run out of puff half way down a km straight and you have to shift down?!? Then they say the cars will be less draggy and lower in weight BUT sure a 1.9m width car is welcome but how much smaller will the cars be? It really needs to go back to 1998-2016 dimensions, also the proposed 25-50kg weight reduction is of course welcome but is it enough? We need cars 100-150kg lighter to make a difference, and we're also forgetting another thing, we're talking about 2026 not 2004, that's over 20 years advancement and we still won't see a straightline performance increase, the world have moved on, we now see a heavy 2.3ton electric road car that can embarass an F1 car in a straight line in terms of acceleration and of course top speed, we now see a £15k road bike that would start catching an F1 car in the 2nd half of a 1mile drag race as without DRS modern F1 cars barely hit 300kph?!? We also see other motorsport like MotoGP demolish F1 cars on a straight line, then we see a modified LMP1 LeMans car destroy F1 cars in terms of lap time and again straight line performance, so these cars now AND the proposed 2026 cars isn't exactly 'spectacular', they're performance wise obsolete, noise aside (which in my view is important) performance wise cars have been going backwards, a 2004 car with a set of slicks is faster around a track than any modern F1 car, sound is amazing so with these synthetic fuel what we need are combustion wise engines produce 1000hp and batteries produce 500hp for the current 33seconds a lap and NOT the proposed 10sec boost??? That would make cars slower than now tbh.

V6 engines with a turbocharger are not what fans want to hear. The raw roar thundering of the V10's & V12's are what the fans want to hear. The "hybrid solution" is not what fans want or like because the cares sound like pathetic go-karts instead of proper race cars.

I think turbo-hybrids are still the way to go. It's just better tech.

No V10/V12's, stonewalling Andretti+Cadillac, the heaviest + worst sounding F1 cars to date. Honesty why would anyone bother getting into this crap lmao, I understand Nascar fans completely talking about the golden days

1. V10
2. .V12
3. Modern V6 TH
4. V8

I've actually grown to like the sound of the V6 hybrid. The V8 was too high pitch. I think it got annoying after a while.

The V10 tho...
