Although I travel frequently and extensively I still very often shoot in my local area. There are many things to be had if you start digging around. From viewpoints to beautiful architecture, it's all there for the taking.

During the dark days of the lockdowns when we could go nowhere I started researching the area I live in and found all manner of things to do. It's too easy to look at far-flung places and discount what's right in front of our noses.

So get that 1:25000 map and start seeing what's around your local area. You may be surprised at what you find.
