Excel's NEW Checkboxes Are Incredibly Cool! Here's why

If I share the file to someone or host it on SharePoint, should the other user also enable the iterative calculation for the timestamp to work or will the specific file retain that setting.

Has this reached the stable channel or still in the dev channel?

About the timestamps:
If you close and reopen the file, the current time is entered and not the time at which the checkbox was clicked. Or am I wrong?

What version does this function appears in? I don't have it in my "Insert" ribbon

I can not find the checkbox tool in the ribbon, The only way I can access it is through the Developer Tab and insert from within that TAB. However, this does not give the same functionality as you show in this tutorial, i.e. when the box checked or not it does not return the "true" or "False" in the input bar!

Thank you Leila, very impactful video! Question however. The inserted 'shapes; is there a way to make such items as these 'stamped' or semi permanent on the sheet so if it's passed around the office no one can move these objects? Additionally, can you lock these components down and the hidden portions so only the clickable areas of the checkboxes are 'useable'? Again, so as a front end, people could interface it, but not 'change' the look/setup of all that was in this video?

Hi I am using office 365 personal fully updated, but I don't have the Cell Controls tab, nor do i have the option to add it nor are the new check boxes available. Do I need a different plan or something? Please help, this isn't the first time you have shown something cool that I was not able to access.

Great video, thanks! Could someone please walk me through how Excel actually evaluates that iterative function so that the now() function is returned, but not re-evaluated every time something else in the sheet changes? Not quite clear on that (or how iterative functions work in general :-) ).

On timestamp cells, can you just use =IF(C5=true,Now(),"") instead?

Is this available for excel 365? I just updated my software, and this option don't exist between the "Comment" and "Text Box" sections. When I go to Options > Customize Ribbon > Main Tabs, the "Cell Controls" section is empty

why does my version of excel not show the insert checkbox in insert tab? I have to go to developer and insert check box as a form control or activex control and does not behave the same way and I cannot select multiole cells and insert check boxes in all of them at the same time

I needed to turn on my Developer settings. But even then, my check box looks different than yours. And tick itself looks very pixelated. Why is that?? I'm on 365 Personal package.
