EARLY WARNING SIGNS OF A FAILING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION GOING BAD

I have noise when I shift from drive to reverse or from reverse to drive sometimes but nothing else

My car is misfiring when it goes to 60 KM, I did check my plugs and coils they all good I went as far as replacing my tappet gasket, but is still misfiring, I did check my oxygen sensors they are all good, I cleaned my throttle body still no changes, when I go on a stop sign I need to take it to Neutral first before pushing it to Drive, otherwise is going to misfire, few people are pointing at my gear box filter , what is your say on this ?

My car is Nissan qashqai 1.2 tb engine it's a 2020 model

A truck I got ain't making any bad noises , reverse works but when I put some gas on it and put it in drive it doesn't want to go forward for a few seconds and youll feel it grab and it feels like something in the rear end/diff (93 dodge dakota)

Any clue on something like that ? Just got the truck and did a diff service myself, all i did was put a new seal on, clean everything up and filled er up

So would changing the fluid out help the transmission from slipping?

I only have reverse in my 2008 f150.. have had loud winding in lower gears since I got it used. No check engine lights no trans light just failed while driving. put it in park now only drives in rev.. it will go into neutral but d, 1 and 2 the rpm's just raise and theres no movement

My 2010 Chevy cobalt is having a misfire on cylinder 2, car shakes, check engine light flashes and then stays solid, aswell as service traction comes on with the flashing check, I’ve replaced all 4 spark and ignition coils 3 months ago and haven’t had any issues until now, anyone have any idea? Sometimes in park it will shake and sometimes not, while driving above 40 or so feels like it jolts forward sometimes, any ideas? Thanks

I think it might be tcm for my ford focus. But it does get hot going up hill in traffic.

My 2017 Toyota Camry when I’m accelerating sometimes every now and then I get like a vibration if I hold the gas or let it go it goes away, but if I continue to accelerate up normally it comes and goes I need help no lights on at all 🤦‍♂️

Could it stall if the transmission lines are loose? Or does it stalling mean the transmission is bad in some way

I bought an ‘09 ES350 few months back with 360K kms on the odometer. I got it properly inspected before the deal. The guys spent good 1-1.5 hours inspecting inside out and test driving it. They told me the transmission was opened at some point but the car shifted perfectly, no issue whatsoever. After a few weeks of ownership, I started having a delay and a jerk when shifting between P & D or R & D, usually when I’m parking. Other than that there is slight vibration while accelerating between 20-40 kmph speed. Rack & pinion need to be replaced, so I’m suspecting it could just be the front end. Fingers crossed! I hope I can have a decent mileage out of it before it breaks down on me. It’s a Lexus, so I’m a bit optimistic. 🤞🏽

My car will tend to hesitate when doing rolling stops at a stop sign as soon as i let off the break while in motion and then give it gas my car will feel like it was momentarily stuck in neutral on rare occasions I'll hear a clunk noise if i give it too much gas

i don’t really notice any of these but when i’m coming to a stop my car drops a little below 500 rpm and almost stalls, but if i put it in neutral while coming to a stop i don’t notice anything which makes me think it’s the trans.. it’s a newer jetta with only 50k miles please help

i have toyota yaris 2015 model. today i experience cut off on my transmission. engine is running smooth but accelerator is also cut. chenck engine light is on. my car doesnt want to move forward. but if i turn off engine and rest for 5mins then it will run again. what seems the problem?

Reverse takes a long time to engage,then you lose overdrive.

I have subaru forester 2012 automatic when driving in 4th gear i noticed my car intermitently shaking and rev not stable. What could be the issue.

I think the shop changed my fluid and it got 215000 miles and after I got it back it slippes when try to excellorate fast to get into the freeway but if i drive like a old lady it's works fine unfortunately I don't have a lot of money because my job doesn't pay much but if it's the transmission im going to be really mad because i have never had problems with my car until i brought it to the mechanic only because I didn't have a lift to replace my battery cables which damaged my altinator unfortunately.

It’s not slipping when I have it in drive and I give it some gas for a few seconds it will make a not super loud grinding noise then stop and sometimes it shifts hard

Hello, ty, I have a p0756 code, so i changed out a and b shift solenoids, new filter and new fluid, but still have the same issue, feels like no first gear and no reverse, same code appeared. was traveling home from a 5 hr trip, all of a sudden this happened, Thoughts?, i was thinking of changing the tcc and 3-2 selenoids, anu suggestions?, Thanks, Anthony

Hi!! My 18 Camry SE stopped on me 2 days ago. It runs fine, it just won’t go forward. There’s no leaking, no wet spots. Without looking, I’m told that the transmission MAY need to be replaced. Is there any hypothetical scenario where the transmission fluid just needs to be replaced or more needs to be added?? I just hit the 110k mileage, never missed a service at an authorized Toyota dealer, and there was no mention/recommendation that the transmission needed to be flushed. Last service date was 2months ago and received the thumbs up that all my levels/were good to go.

I also have 2 payments left on my vehicle 😢… and paying an estimated $9k is steep & not affordable for me.

What if my transmission has just been replaced but it has a bad smell like something is burning?

What I've learned? Just put the money into a quality vehicle. DO NOT, and I mean-- DO NOT think you're going to get a high mileage vehicle for a couple months/1-2 years then upgrade when you can afford it. I have learned the hard way "high mileage doesn't matter, its how the car got the miles" is a myth. DO NOT buy/finance a car with over 70,000 miles. If you have poor credit, I promise with my God in heaven as my witness, just build-up your credit OR save-up for a large downpayment/expect high monthly payments. High monthly payments are perfectly fine when you don't have a jackass in your ear telling you everyone should have low monthly payments. It's YOUR life. If you planned it out/budgeted/have a good support circle & think you can afford the high payments then you get a car with high payments. If someone makes a face at you for having $600.00 payments tell them to make the face as many times as they can until they get tired. At least you have a reliable vehicle. It will teach you a greater sense of responsibility as well. Don't buy into this "Ohh I gotta get the best deal ever" mindset like I did. ANYTHING of quality is always going to COST. There are those few, far, in-between situations where you may find a gem over 100,000 miles for a steal price-- but there's a REASON its called FEW FAR AND IN-BETWEEN. FEW-NOT MANY, FAR-HARD TO REACH, IN-BETWEEN-SOMEWHERE HIDDEN IN AN OCEAN OF LEMONS.

Hello I have code p0741 for indicates that the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid electrical circuit had performance fault or was stuck OFF for a predetermined period of time. Would I have to replace my transmission or just that small part?

What about when you’re accelerating and the RPM feels like it’s not shifting but you’re still picking up speed ?

I have a question if my car is making me worry for the future should I sell it now? Or trade it in? I own the vehicle. But my mom had wrecked it a couple years ago.

So I went for an engine I change. Found out the transmission oil pan is leaking. Went to my regular trusted Mechanic, he said the cooler lines are also leaking. Mind you I had zero problems with transmission at this point. He goes ahead and puts in a new gasket and changes my cooler lines. Also adds the new transmission oil. Now my car jerks as it accelerates. Eg. it jerks between 40 to 60 then b/w 60 to 80 then definitely at 90. Once it reaches 100km/ph it doesn’t jerk at all. Mechanic says drive it a few days and it will be ok. I am worried as I might wreck the transmission completely. Please help

I am not sure if my transmission is going ...in the morning after i let the engine heat up i then put it in Drive it doesn't move for like 3 seconds , it will be fine for the rest of the day

Solution is simple
Only buy vechiles wuth standard tranny. Almost never fail. So many bad brand new cars and trucks. Learn to drive a manual

just put used transmission 2001 4runner, it kicks a little while putting foot down like jumping forward when shifting, unit only has 130k on it, i was told it can take a month for car to relearn it because the transmission sat for a while any ideas? When putting into drive it jumps forward could this be a mount?
