I used to hate nomad. Now it’s easily one of my favorite maps to play

yeah this is cool and all but what if I have no sheep? then there's no scouting which means no boar, and no food which means tc idle time. Really, you gotta include a "what if you have no sheep? Here's what you do" for this to even be useful at all

No wonder nomad is such a week map for me. I'm always prioritizing food from the start cuz I know it is always an issue for me so I kill my sheep instantly, have no scouting, running out of food, desperately try to find more as I struggle to keep my docks running and giving up water as I get trushed or a castle dropped on my face and then lose my fish. Turns out while it all made sense in my head, I was doing everything exactly wrong 😅

I didn't realize all the nomad maps had water on the edges. I thought it was random.

Very clean build! Now do a nomad start except this time you are right next to an enemy, because for some reason that's always what happens to me, 11. I would be really interested to hear how you would address being neighbors with the enemy on nomad. Would you go aggressive with towers? Just go FC and Castle drop?

How do you keep from losing your sheep while they scout? In nomad, my sheep are always stolen within a few seconds of leaving LOS.

As a new player who recently bought AOE:DE, This guide is much helpful. Know you since T90 Streaming days, played my first nomad yesterday and can recognise the mistakes from there well. Please do more videos like this on Arena and Arabia and more. Love from India.

hera, what if you notice that enemies tc is very close? would you still suggest (roughly) this build? recently i had that situation and was lucky to have stone near my tc. i decided to neglect fishboom (only 2 ships i think) in order to get faster feudal into towers. it didnt work, but it might have been just because i did it badly

thanks hera. can you tell, can it sometimes be worth it to delay tc drop because of hoping that you might find more resources but wood adjacent? often times 2 of your vils will be approaching each other, so the later the tc is dropped, the earlier the 2nd vil will join building it, which makes the time cost less expensive.
