Just started playing the game for the first time ever. And so far I like the normal run. It's fun and sweet, in my opinion

I would be a Community Center person but theres so many reasons to not do it. For 1 the community of pelican town is the worst and I really only like a select few. 2 the community upgrades are WAY easier, you could easily complete them all in the spring. 3 you lose out on garanteed autopetters if you go with the CC. Finally if you complete the CC clint decides to take fridays off to sit in the boiler room which is infuriating. Honestly if the CC didnt have the autopetter thing or the clint thing I would deal with it but as it is, Im not dealing with that broken down building.

If you get Caroline to 2 hearts, then go into her back room, she sends you the tea sapling recipe in the mail the next day. Tea saplings sell for 500 gold each, and need 5 wood, 5 fiber and 2 of any seasonal seeds. They are very cheap to make and a really good source of profit that most people seem to overlook

I hate fishing. It's so freaking hard too. I've Stardew on Vita, Switch, and PC (Steam) and still never liked fishing. Glad someone can use it to have fun though. Good video!

I actually really like the joja route. Much easier to make money and you don't have to hope you can get an iron axe by your first summer or buy a fiddlehead Fern for a ridiculous amount of money from the traveling merchant, or you are waiting for your greenhouse. And Pierre can shove it after he tried to sell me back my own crops for a mark up because he was trying to swindle the town and sell them for 10X the price he paid. Y'all can call Joja greedy and heartless all you want but Morris never tried to do you dirty like that

Wood might be the least exciting possible reward from a fishing chest?

I have done a Joja run, even themed that playthrough around being a Private Investigator hired by Joja to investigate mayor Lewis and his mischief, lol

30 minute episode, you mentioned that you did not do this ever before 20 times.... sheeeesh

i enjoyed how quick it was to get stuff like the minecart and greenhouse, super easy to unlock everything in a year or two.

Just started my first Joja run last month, Sharky, and our farmer name is strikingly similar. Great minds and all that :-)

Are these only episodes or did you stream and then edited down?

Pro tip: you can put a chest next to Willy’s shop and another on the little island in the mountain lake so you don’t have to throw away any fish. You can just put them in the chest to sell later!

Enjoying this because I never did the Joja run and I don't feel like I could ever be bothered to do so lol

my first run was joja and the second one was community center

First day fishing is good. Perfect catch is 2.4x exp and a treasure is 2.2x exp. A perfect treasure sardine catch is worth 68.2 exp. Level 1 100exp, level 2 280exp. . If you are decent with the bamboo rod then keep it. But the training rod is best. You get a level 5 bar in the mini game and perfect catches are more important than quality( yes silver fish give more xp like 3 more or 6 on perfect catch, but it easier to perfect wish the bamboo. Yiu can get level 2 by noon or earlier if lucky. Level 4 or 5 by end of day with a fiber rod.


My personal main goal is 2k gold plus on day 1 ( forage, artifact250, meet everyone 100, 500 you start or clay strat for like 3k gold) .
Day 2 fish all day 3 to 5 perfect bamboo catches by 9am. Fiber Gass rod by 1pm max. Fish all night till I pass out level 4 easy but luck level 5 fishing.
Day 3 catfish all day goal is 15 to 20 usually level 7 by end of day

My goal is 200 strawberries and level 10 by egg day

When you said you had nothing to eat, my brain was wanting me to scream at my phone saying that you had fish you could eat. And if you were to eat the 1 regular largemouth bass, you'd have 1 more slot, some energy to do a tad more fishing, and possibly even more fish worth more money.

OMG! A Joja run! O.O I could never bring myself to do it, because of the Junimo. I love them so much! I could never betray them. But I'm looking forward to the series. Keep up the amazing work!

You could decorate your farm in a Joja theme while you're completing the bundles for some extra fun throughout the series!

I just completed my first joja run too. But I did one cheat. I named myself [74]. I didn't sell prismatic shards, but I got that purple sword immediately.

Please help. Could you do a review list for farm style games that can be played soley with mouse actions? I can only use one hand so mouse only games will help me tremendously. I'm sure there are many others that can't use 2 hands as well. Please help me and others. :D

I am playing my first joja run at the moment. I married Sam cos with the soda machine it's easy to get a loved gift for him daily, and about the only useful thing about the soda machine. I've set up 8 deluxe barns full of pigs with auto petters I was easily able to buy, took the foraging skill that makes all forageables iridium quality and am amassing gold very quickly with little effort. Glad I tried it but the community centre is much more fun a challenge.

I'm looking forward to watching you do the Joja run - I did one a while ago and it felt so weird, but interesting to see to what degree you commit to making money and not progressing things like the museum, friendships, etc.

I'm in the middle of doing this myself. Never done it and wanted to just try a challenge.
