I love the art, I like characters mixed with machinery. Not exactly in the typical cyborg way where they have weapons, just something like this

Ответитьbro i forgot about this song and suddenly started humming its little tune in the start thinking i had made it up. what the fuck. ghost get OUT OF MY HEAD
Ответитьi hope i'm not the only one who feels nostalgic listening to this song for the first time
ОтветитьFor those who don't know, this isn't about a robot who has to carry their own limbs. It's actually about mental illness, a select group of people who struggle with it and still carry on anyways. They are people "too backwards to die out," meaning the reason they continue to exist is because our society is hateful and unwilling to understand people who are different, so that breeds sadness and mental illness. I come back to this song a lot, and I find myself carrying on out of spite 😅
ОтветитьTamari’s long lost brother
ОтветитьWhen you find this song four years late and you see one of the lyrics is the title of a fanfic you're reading:
ОтветитьThis song is about mewtwo-
Ответитьonce again i have fallen into the "ghost and pals song" rabbit hole.
step one: listening to the song. not my jam.
step two: listens a second time from curiosity. becomes obsessed.
step three: becomes my main song for months until ghost posts another song.

ОтветитьComing here after listening to various strange versions of Buddy Holly is
ОтветитьI made a interpretation:
So this song is about a group of peeps that we can call... um... "The Oldens"
So they are normal people with a tendency to sometimes have sudden flashbacks of their past life, or even are trying to live like in their childhood, and are of course encountering many downsides like lack of understanding or being simply ignored That explains the lines of "They tried to be understood/but all that came of it was a mess".
The line "devout apparitions" is an interpretation of the Oldens from the point of wiew of society, as they were devout to make people empathise to their way of being.
Some normal people were trying to make The Oldens move on, just forget about the past, ("sort it out in conversations") stating, that it's bad for everyone, including them, with the metaphore of "picking up their arms and legs and carrying on".
The Oldens are slowly accepting the fate of "Never escaping the rise(The inevitable modernisation of society)", but some still keep on being rooted in the past.
Some people speculate that they will all just succumb, and "they may never come back", but some of them will just always be "too backwards to die out", locked "inside their little world" of lies and sentiments.
The title is just the society in the eyes of the Oldens, and society carrying on with their lives is interpreted as something bad in the Oldens' eyes, so society is seen as another species of some sort, which by the way appears vice versa from the point of wiew of society.
Well, that's all.
I came here after listening to a metal song by Kevin Sherwood (Carrion for those wondering) and it feels like I’m doing acid and talking to a bunch of fae trying to fuck with me.
ОтветитьThis song is so nostalgic from 4th grade I listened to it every single day
Ответитьsteak
Ответитьgives off desolate hope vibes tbh
ОтветитьI keep coming to this song over and over and over again its just too good!
Ответить"Dare you to save the human race."
"Bet."
heres my quick theory before reading the real story in the comments:
I think this songs is about an event where the whole entire world collapsed and got destroyed but despite everything humans still adapted rebuilt their world and turned themselves into robots making sure that they live on forever even if they end up being completely different from how they once were
back I was 35% right, just checked the vocaloid wiki
This is so good, every song you make is a bop
