At first I found the constant use of the word "like" annoying, then briefly amusing, before retuning to annoying. Vacuous sums her up perfectly, actually the pair of them TBF.

Yawn, she's not dreadful, but the effusive acceptance of mediocre by the masses here speaks volumes.

If bt employ this woman as face of male football then I'll be cancelling my subscription.

Hope Woods did not get to the top of her game,conducting herself like she did with the very recent sleazy A J interview sitting on the arm of his seat,I was a fan before that sleazy exhibition,had that been a man interviewing her in that sleazy way she would be shouting from the rooftops about how inappropriate this was .

Gonna rock the boat here but I think she's pretty trashy. Loads of swearing on this interview, and on talksport, when she hasnt an autocue to read she is embarrasing. A mistake every minute. Totally arrogant and self entitled.

My fave pundit on talksport has gotta be Simon Jordan, actually questions people when he thinks their wrong, instead of just agreeing all the time and rolling out the red carpet

Cool interview. I think that if you try and take the TS Breakfast show from Alan Brazil, even if you're the world's best sports broadcaster, that's a tough gig for anyone. Laura's nailed it completely and I think this interview tells you why. She's driven, listens, humble and has a thirst to learn and improve. Great interview and great to find out more about what makes someone tick 👍

I'm so glad this video showed up on my feed, I could listen to Laura talk all day, she's obviously lovely but I didn't realise how in-depth and varied her path has been to get ther to where she is. When you're not in the industry you don't realise the path a new presenter has taken, you presume it's a screen test and if they do well and don't look like Sloth from the Gonnies you get the job. It wasn't until I started researching Jo Wilson on Sky Sports (not in a creepy way), again I didn't realise how big her presence is within the Sky Studios as her credentials extend far beyond just presenting the show.

I have to agree regarding criticism, not of us are above criticism but what's important is what criticism you listen to, most criticism especially when aimed at a woman is going to be the usual sexist stuff but those who actually have experience and have genuine criticism to make will shape in a way that is constructive, that's the criticism you listen to, the rest is just white noise and usually doesn't warrant the time you spend reading it.

I feel this interview sums up why Laura has done so well at Talksport - she's a ladette in disguise. She clearly works damn hard, so fair play to her. But I can totally picture her wandering through an airport with a bunch of her mates being very loud on the way to a hen weekend in Barcelona :)
