How to Speak up in Meetings - with Confidence

I would hate to have someone volunteer me to speak.

In today's meeting I was just saying okay okay to others. I think I need to be more strong in my field and always I am unable to share my ideas. Many times I don't remember anything.

When others can kill you and end your carrer, you cannot talk outloud.

Hi @Shade´ Zahrai - During my presentation, if I come across apologetic or honestly share that, I do not know the answer to some of questions asked or share upfront that some part of the work is still in progress, then some folks take that opportunity and hammer around to break the idea being presented. There are the people, who just want to show that the idea is not good. How to deal with such people in the meetings?

Awesome presentation and skill. What I felt people dont speak is because of 2 reasons:
1. They don't do homework before going in a meeting thus they lack the information or knowledge of the agenda and subject. - You will feel confident if you know your audience, have enough information and have done your homework.
2. They do think before sharing anything what if I am proved to be wrong. - people should understand, Most of the time if not always, in any meeting people want to have your idea and get corrected.

I usually don’t say much in meetings. I just listen. I’m the kind of person that takes backstage. I make things happen by doing it and showing how it will be efficient. I’m more of a doer than talker. ❤

i think when you are in minority group in office be it by gender/color/communities, you are always in focus and you can take advantage of the situation and voice your opinion.
