As someone who has extensive experience working in hotels, your theory is probably correct. First of all, profit margins can be razor thin some months. Hotels are carefully designed so that they don't have too many or too few rooms so that space and money aren't wasted and efficiency is maximized. Having a secret room for anything other than purposes of marketing doesn't make any sense at all, because we want to use every bed we have. You can see evidence of this from the reddit post in that the hotel was booked solid but his colleague was able to score a room. This was likely the last room available for rent so they decided to let them stay in it instead of kick them out. On top of that, it's always good when you can show management that you sold the hotel out on your shift. Lastly, large hotels can have high employment turnovers with most people getting paid between 9-14 dollars an hour. These are everyday people just like me, not Yale scholars or secret fraternity members. If there was really something nefarious up with that room, a former or even current employee would've talked by now. The housekeepers will know about it and even the front desk obviously knows about it, so your talking about hundreds of everyday people knowing about this room. Someone would've talked by now, especially if they had left on bad terms with the hotel. Fun analysis to watch though!

I've stayed at a lot of nice hotels, and it's surprising how incomplete the information on the websites are. The fact that a couple of descriptions for theme rooms were missing means very little. Also that's a pretty badly designed theme room, it's very cheesy looking. Attributing something sinister is an overreach.

LOL! The Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo opened in 1958, waaaaaay before Disney or anything in Houston. If they think they created themed hotel rooms, Ha! Take a visit to the Madonna Inn, right off 101 going south from San Francisco to LA. It's an incredible hotel, and you can't miss the Men's room in the lobby!

As a member of an affiliate secret society to Skull and Bones, I would like to confirm that this is their room, and that you are safe for posting your video. My group has a different number, though similar in meaning. It is not 322. This stuff is definitely real and very powerful. Research what you want, but there is a lot of misinformation and half truths and there are dead ends and also risks to re-posting information. I believe 322 was originally designed as a themed room, but it was deemed too shity by upper management, that is why the they don't want to use it or promote it. They probably have tried to do something to improve it but couldn't figure out a plan. Also the hotel is operating, you can't just bring in a construction crew. Then some staff made a mistake assigning the room 322. At first they thought it could potentially cause damage to their brand, but marketing people managed to utilize the situation.

As someone who worked in a hotlel before it might have been miscommuncicated information a VIP was supposed to stay in that special room but they assigned it to someone else by accident.

The property management system I use attempts (you can override it but it was probably not communicated at the time it was to go to a VIP) to not let you assign the room unless housekeeping cleans it. But, theres a list of clean rooms when you go assign it. Room probably got cleaned and the front desk forgot it was reserved for a VIP basically. It's happened to our property before and had to move guests.

The room does look creepy though not gonna lie. And being kicked out of it would be double unnerving.

just started the video and my first guess is it's probably someone who lives there. i know a few people who have legit been living in one hotel room for years now. when the hotel room basically becomes your own room, you'll tend to start decorating it as such. 😊

Last year when I was travelling overseas, I heard of a haunted floor in a new luxury hotel building (designed by Atkins, the engineers of Burj al Arab in dxb). I made a note to myself "never to enter that building". If this is a marketing technique, I have to say it is terrible.

Whether it is intentional or not, the hotel is now known by 1.2M, including me, who likely never would have known that they exist. Some of us will go there. Are you familiar with the In-N-Out Burger's "not so secret menu"? Everybody sees the "official menu" at the drive thru or checkout inside. However, it is widely known that, if you ask, you can get a large number of items prepared differently or with more patties, etc. Maybe this is a version of that.

So none of these theories explain why there's an embedded 2-way mirror above the bed. If this really is just a themed room, they should explain that. It looks like a room that was cut in half with a two-way mirror so one side could watch the other. My guess is the other side is a "staff only" room like a closet or something that isn't even in the booking software and the purpose of this room is kept secret, not even the staff really know.
