Let me say Hello to the haters and Bonjour to the smart ones (please excuse my cockiness), first of all let me tell you that I am a young haitian guy who's never been to the U.S in fact I have never been anywhere else other than Haiti or the Hispaniola Island, I am not rich I grew up as an orhphan (no mom, no dad, I am still struggling in a very difficult place, just trying to survive). I learned English on my own cause you know in Haiti we don't speak English and I am an orphan who lives with very little money, proud to say we have our own language too which is Haitian Creole. I know English can be the most beautiful and the sweetest language on earth, however I suggest black people foreigners, black people particulary should learn it and promote this language, it's easy to learn, I can understand French too.

My English is not really that good, but yet still I can appreciate Kanye's work in music, fashion, I learned many things from his music and how he also managed to become an entrepreneur although he should have signed a contract cause it wasn't even necessary ( he could have done everything himself bust any other brand he had money to do it), how he helped and inspire other people and how he's trying to give another meaning to what true education is, so it is unbelievable that lots of americans don't understand he's a blessing to you guys, other big corntries wish they could have genius and leaders like him, I am not praising him just wanted to say a few words cause that's the truth. I think we need to be more tolerant, consider it as an opinion.

Went through a high school breakup when it came out. I was in the 10th grade. This album was the most beautifully put together raw emotional music I’ve heard. Instant Classic. In my Top 10 all time albums.

"INFLUENCED"? How Mr west influenced a whole generation o ... blah,blah,blah.....started listening to one song. Where a guy uses an electronic devise to make him sound like a Robot?mechanical? Then another dude ,you can't see playing what sounds like a K-MART keyboard....while he's "milking the cow"... G E S T U R E. SHEEPLE. OOOPS I mean people pay$ MONEY. To elbow to elbow w' other SHEEPLE. OOOPS I mean People At a concert...sure glad having been Blessed that what grew out of the Am/Th radio the days I was youth ,the 60s. Beatles, the Doors,Rolling Stones. And. All those one hit wonders, when dudes actually could play an instrument...and the "SINGER" didnt have to use a miniature synthesizer to make his voice better? Trust me Holmes. IT DOESN'T SOUND BETTER...just some thoughts

Back then in 2008 they used auto tune the right way and you can understand the lyrics. Since 2015, once Fetty Wap came around. Music hasn’t been different. It’s been the same and has gotten somewhat worse.

Have to give to Kanye. He had amazing foresight with this album back in 2008. It may or may not be his best album, but it is unquestionably his most influential. It pretty much solidified a whole new sub-genre of rap music that ruled the charts for the next decade.

I'm not a fan of Kanye it rap in general but I give credit where it's due. And Kanye is one of the biggest stars to come from my generation.

He's following a very similar path to a little known musician that goes by the name Bob Dylan. Although the style is different they booth shook up and influenced tons of musicians. And not just future musicians but there peers and fellow musicians they work right alongside and sometimes even against.
