Thank you for creating this video! I never thought to use H.P. for watering the plants on a more consistent basis.
ОтветитьYou just put holes on your pot meaning water was stock there before.
Ответитьhow do you "re-use' perlite?
ОтветитьThanks for the tips! Will give this a try with my peace lily.
ОтветитьThank you for those great tips.
ОтветитьWhat did you use to wipe the plant? That was an amazing transformation. I will be mixing hydrogen peroxide and treating for gnats now. Wish me luck 😬
Ответитьplant doctor 💚
ОтветитьI have a 14" electric Ozoneater Probe going the bottom of my plant pots. Fungas and Bacteria never get a chance!
ОтветитьJust found your channel looking for info on using hydrogen peroxide. I've never used it with houseplants and really interested in seeing the results. Love your channel btw.
Ответитьhi, the stores here only sell 6% hydrogen peroxide. What is the correct measurement to use the 6% with water? thanks!
ОтветитьPositively NO LUCK with peroxide or Neem oil. Followed instructions to the letter. I understand nematodes is the only solution for fungus gnats.
ОтветитьYou know what ur doing!! You got the green thumb
ОтветитьTHANK YOU, THIS WAS EXTREMLY HELPFUL. I will let you know how my plants make out.
ОтветитьSo many helpful videos claire…I have learnt so much and have a healthier plant collection because of your vat knowledge. Thankyou
Ответитьnot only are you helping my plants, but your sunny disposition is helping me! much better mood and plants after watching this!!!
ОтветитьHow much is 1 part of hydrogen peroxide in mils
ОтветитьLove the "😉" 😅
Ответитьyour videos are helpful. But nix the awful obnoxious clicking noise "music" - its awful, drowns out some of your speech and is unnecessary!
ОтветитьI have jade plants that have a white color on the stems any suggestions?
ОтветитьHey, may I ask what exactly the way to do for ratio 3-1? does it mean 3 cup of water + 1 cup Peroxide? Not really sure so thinking that too much Peroxide, pls correct me
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing your knowledge in these videos. Your plants say so much about your knowledge and commitment to them. The accent is also appreciated!
ОтветитьHi Clare! Just found your channel. Yes this video was extremely helpful thank you! I bought a Bonsai Tree and unfortunately ended up with fungus gnats, I've bought the 3% peroxide and it arrived today. Can I ask a question please, if I mix up a small batch of the solution how long will it last? or do I need to mix fresh every time? Thank you. :)
ОтветитьI have a couple plants that are so sick right now (root rot), that I don't think they would survive being removed from their pots. Would you recommend 3 to 1 (water to 3% peroxide) to give their potting soil a thorough drenching? Or must I take them out of the pot and treat the roots directly?
ОтветитьDoes this apply to succulents as well? The benefits of hydrogen peroxide?
ОтветитьThank you so much for you tips!
ОтветитьWill this also kill grasshopper eggs in soil??
ОтветитьCan you use it on outdoor gardens if diluted, in soil and on foliage?😅
ОтветитьGot those gnats! I killed them till they're dead! It's satisfying watching the soil bubble. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьThank you for this! Super helpful!! I had no idea hydrogen peroxide was so useful for plants.
ОтветитьThank you for making this video! I now know that even if my plants did get some root issues, they might still be able to be saved.
*I'm pretty sure one of the things that helps with drainage is to mound plants higher than the soil goes , but it looks like you can still
do that even when planting it somewhat lower than it was. I can see where the tendency may have been to put way more water than it
needed, and the soil holding that water at the bottom could cause a reaction where bacteria could grow.
When you soak the plant and the soil with the hydrogen peroxide at the end, are you using the 4-1 or the 3-1 ratio? I assume you aren't pouring it
in full strength. Also, how many bottles (and how many oz each) of hydrogen peroxide did you end up going through to soak the roots and then water it?
This is super helpful. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьYou mixed the hydrogen peroxide with water then tipped it in a bath of water🤷♀️ I dont get it...way more water then what you said?
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video..perfect timing cause my draceana is infected i dont know what kind ..it's yellowing and brown tips on the leaves..
Now i dont fully understand the ratio for 3% hydrogen peroxide to water..pls explain and how long to soak the plant in hydrogen peroxide
I truly appreciate your advices
You have beautiful plants.
I'm just a beginner on plants and i love them and is just learning.
Useful information thanks😊
ОтветитьFungus gnats need FUNGUS to eat/live. They need wet soil to reproduce...so where are they getting fungus to eat?
Ответить9 minute video of female babbling.
ОтветитьHi Claire, I noticed only a few days ago now that my young Monstera Deliciosa 🪴 who I have named Dave has a few fungus Gnats. I was puzzled as to ware they have came from, I’ve always had my windows and front door shut since I purchased him. Was it because on Wednesday last week I watered him with tap water and not cold boiled water. Then this morning I just happen to look at the unopened large bag of Peat free compost that I purchased last week with it’s air holes that I have only a foot away from my Monstera. I’m thinking 🤔 💭 have the Gnats came out of the holes in the bag ? I did order some Hydrogen pro oxide yesterday from EBay after watching this video for the second time. P.S only been subscribed to your channel for two weeks but loving the content finding it very helpful 👌
ОтветитьSo many conflicting information for peroxide treatment; some say one tablespoon per gallon, some say only run the mixture over roots, others say soak for 5 minutes, some say soak 1 or 2 hours, some say to rinse after soaking and some say to let the roots dry after soaking.
ОтветитьI like that you re-used the pot! Reducing waste 👍
ОтветитьMay you please state the measurements in milgrams ,kilos to what f hydrogen peroxide. ?what is 3:1 or 1:4. ?
ОтветитьReally helpful and pleasant, thanks a lot. I would please like to ask you: if there is an issue of fungus gnats but the plant has been recently watered what can we do? Wait till it needs watering again? Go ahead and water again (despite the wetness) with 1-1 ratio? Spray just the surface?
(My experience: I tried spraying the surface on a regular basis with undiluted 3% hydrogen peroxide. It has done a good job with gnats, but I can see signs of yellowing or discolouration on the leaves. I don't know if it is dew to the gnats of dew to the hydrogen peroxide itself...)
How often can we water with a mix?
Thanks a lot!!!
Hi , do you have to use distilled water or could you use bottled water? Thanks
ОтветитьI wanted to watch this video, but dogs and dog culture disgust me, so I didn't watch it.
ОтветитьNo better cure than a good old ladybird or two for the gnats and mites.. they clean so fast..
ОтветитьSurrounding the plants with sticker sheets works great as well. This doesn't improve the soil however but if you hang those sheets everywhere around the pots then the gnats will eventually go extinct.
ОтветитьExtra oxygen *atom, not molecule. Just poking fun, but it's the fact of it. Molecular oxygen is either 0² or O³(ozone).
If water carried an "extra oxygen molecule, the board would appear:
H2O + O², which would not bond to my knowledge without some sort of ionization of the pair to form an unstable ionized bond.
That's my nerdy rant of laughter for the day 😂
Thanks for the video. I'm killing fungus gnats as I text this humor.
you know, it’s such a shame you can only leave 1 thumbs-up 😢
I’d leave way more than that…
this girl knows her game.
I've been using a sprinkle of cinnamon across the top of the soil,,, the gnats usually come in on new plants from the store where they overwatered... It takes a couple of watering to really spread the cinnamon around,, the gnats and any fungus is gone... I do love H2O2 also,, but love cinnamon and the plants find it a treat.. Gorgeous plants btw...
ОтветитьWonderful! How would you suggest I do this for an entire garden bed? I believe I have an infestation and can this method be used for that? :)
ОтветитьHow do I revive a yellowing bamboo planted in soil?
