I wonder if Membrane is actually tall, Enter the Florpus had the "I Never Hired Any of You" scene where we see Membrane has robotic arms, arms that he got when earlier he explains he was friends with sharks before he "knew better". I want to jokingly think that Membrane uses a robotic skeleton to hide that he's an alien that's as short as Zim.

If there was a bigger meta plot to the premise/setting, it might be that Membrane is actually trying to silently develop a splinter faction to defend himself and his abode from the Irken Empire. The maintained ignorance of the Irkens keeps the planet in the dark. He surely would have realized that Zim is a worthless exile and not a threat. That said i could imagine him accelerating plans to counter any potential arrival.

Membrane probably also intended for his son to ultimately contribute to his endeavour, because aliens ARE scientific, but Dib's obsession with the other paranormal stuff (driven by his ignorance of his connection to the Irkens and lost memories), are counterproductive and will not lead him down the necessary path to maximizing earth technology to being it's own independent defensible state.

Ok so, in the comics, there is a multiverse. shocking i know, but keep reading
in one of these universes, dib actually beat zim, and held a conference to finally show the existance of aliens. and no one believed him, even though he had the most damning proof of all right in front of them. This broke the 12 year old, as he used zim's PAK to take over the world and defend it from the Irkin invasion.

the thing is, Dib didn't need to do anything special to use the PAK. he just stuck it on the back of his head and it fused with him. If dib were a normal human, it probably should have rejected him, but no instead it fused with him. Heavily implying that dib isn't a human

Oddly enough, it is canonical that irken's practice cloning as a way to obtain new generations rather than procreation, So did being a clone/ alien clone wouldn't be too far off from being a cannon -ish theory and it would make sense as to Why specifically he's clone....

I think Membrane technology looks like Irken technology because they are both drawn in the Vasquez style. Also Professor Membrane doesn't have a PAK, which all Irkens have.

I have never watched this show so this theory is very intriguing.

Given how we know there were two previous Tallests, (both indirectly killed by Zim), all four of the known ones look completely different to the regular Irkens, and that Irkens are created in pods, I think that there’s something like a bee situation going on.

Once a generation, to secure a line of succession, a handful of smeets are given “royal jelly”, and turn them into princes and princesses. Given how unexpected Miyuki and Spork’s deaths were, and how short Spork’s reign, it’s entirely possible that Red and Purple’s successors are still being trained.

It’s also possible that Professor Membrane is an Irken prince. Either he, and/or his “parents” ran away from Irk. An Irken couple, probably both royalty, disillusioned with their society, snuck a prince smeet or prince smeet pod, on a space ship, and left for Earth. Or they just built the pod, and experimented with creating life.

I remember watching this back when it came out, before I had watched the show. I was like: "Cool, Wish I could watch the show." AND NOW THAT I HAVE, I CAME BACK TO THIS VIDEO TWO YEARS LATER BECAUSE I STILL REMEMBERED IT.
