My favorite commander is Animar. I know there are some toxic ways to build him but I've built him Animar - Cascade. Like Maelstrom Wanderer I load up Animar with all the URG cascade creatures. oftentimes cascade creatures have a high cmc cost but with Animar it reduces that cost and produces a ton of creature value.

I do love me some araumi, but my favorite is athreos, shroud-veiled. Being able to guarantee my creatures protection from death AND exile with the coin counters is just insane

I play a Kwain group hug deck and it's insane. Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar along with the other deep draw cards is an amazing tech. Along with Nexus of Fate in the deck, I am able to pull off infinite turns pretty easily late game.

Maelstrom can be an absolute monster in slower metas! Just play only cards that give you 2+ mana and payoffs.

Maelstrom, having played against it, it's really brutally strong even if it is a little bit of a dice role wen you play it. A fun commander that is also really strong is Marici. It is the type of commander that change a dynamic of a game. But my commander of the moment is Tana/Ardenn

I agree on most commanders in this video, but maelstrom is actually not that fun to pilot, because you are doing the same cascade thing over and over again. Specially with top deck manipulation, which is powerful in the deck, you already know what you're cascading into.

Very sweet video. I play most of these in a Yidris deck with Keruga as a companion. Some cards cheat the companion requirement, like Search for Tomorrow and Discovery//Dispersal.

Maelstrom Wanderer isn't on the battlefield yet if you cascade into Primespeaker.

I gotta say, Braids is tricky. I built one for fun, not too competitive, and it sucks seeing 3 other players get to make use of your Braids triggers before you. So I think I need to give it flash, or not cast it. Or just make a deal of some kind. Depends on the playgroup. Mine has some combo decks that can pop off too hard with one Braids trigger. But my "go-to" deal is that if I cast Braids, I must get at least one trigger out of it. Then the game gets nuts. I only make that deal if I have something nutty in hand to drop obvs.
My fav commander right now is Ramos.
